      Just how I like it!
But seriously, I've travelled with AirAsia to Kuala Lumpur and found it to be quite pleasant. Sure you have to pay for the extras like meals and inflight entertainment, but the seats were comfortable, the staff were helpful and friendly, and, we didn't crash! All good points.

      • Seats were comfortable?! are you kidding?

I have flown airasia over 20 times between KL and Melbourne.. And my thoughts are:

        • The planes are old
        • The planes are dirty with rubbish from the previous flight
        • Some of the seats do not recline/broken
        • The padding on the seats are so worn that it's like sitting on a wooden floor!
        • The air con on the overnight flights are wayyyy too cold, almost forcing you to purchase a blanket.

        Good points:
        - We didn't crash…

        • The plane from OOL to KL is pretty much brand new, flown the route a few times and will be doing it again in Feb. Had nothing but a good exp. with Air Asia. The planes with SE Asia are a bit older, but I've seen worse in North America and Europe.

        • They don't want to send their nice planes to Melbourne. Or maybe they were nice…..

        • Least the seat was bolted down unlike russian ones.
My friends have had good experience with them

And you continued flying with them over 20 times?

        • But you used them 20 times..

        • @delfredo:

Well, with the savings, you can consider it being paid to sit on your arse for a few hours. :p

  • Using Sydney to Bali as an example, can you price beat with Jetstar (JS $189 vs ASX $180)? I have never done a price beat but i did see the conditions on it mention something about only direct and not intra-asia flights??

    • sure can, it's really easy to do as well over online chat. Just be prepare to buy it instantly when they agree to the price match
