    Dupe

    • Where is the original? I searched and couldn't find it.

      • Perhaps not quite a dupe but flies pretty close (should be combined)

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/231194

        • Not poking you, but what's the difference between this and other deals found within the Steam Summer/Winter sales?

        • @Dagmar:

          PS4 exclusive.

        • Not dupe the linked post has no reference to this from the OP.

          Also It's $39.98 lol

        • @Dagmar: I understand what you mean, I tend to stay out of that debate (same with eBay deals). I think this deal should be combined with the other as they are part of the same sale and cover the same product series (Bloodborne and it's DLC). The other Deal should have included more items in the description, where a sale includes 80 or so items, listing just 2 items from the sale is a bit weak. Even if it was just the names of the series included in the sale; Final Fantasy, Disgaea, Tales of X, Dark Souls etc.

I just posted this link as I believe it was what Where's_That_Cake was referring to.

        • @CyberGenesys:

but the OP of the other post might only think 2 out of the 80 games are deals. not everything that is part of that sale is a deal.

so other post's OP didn't think this (bloodbourne GoTY edition) was a deal but this OP did.

plus it's a lot of effort to list $80 games and it's price (both psn+ and not psn+) and post it here.

        • +1

@suicine94: It is odd (to me anyway) to not list the base game price (whether a good deal or not) if you are listing the cost of DLC. Add to that, considering Bloodborne alone is $50+ (for a physical copy), why wouldn't you list the digital GotY price which includes the game + DLC for $40?

If only 2 out of 80 items are worthwhile, why mention the sale at all? Or link to the sale details if nothing else is a deal?

I certainly would not expect people to list everything, actually prefer them not too. A wall of text is very annoying. However, there was a lot of detail missing about the sale that could have easily been included. For example; the fact it is genre/gameplay style specific. All of the items are basically single player RPGs and adventure games (which is why the sale is called 'Big Adventures, Big Savings'). A user might go clicking and expect to find Project Cars for $10 etc.

On ozbargain posts there is a certain level of detail that should be reasonably expected, but this is a completely subjective metric and is far too difficult to define. Personally I would say if 100+ items on sale, list the 10 best, if less than 100 items, then list 5-10. If nothing else is worthwhile then say that. Each to their own.

        • @CyberGenesys:

I guess a reason why the Other OP only posted 2 things is cos that what he/she bought? maybe they had bloodbourne and only needed the expansion. like for me I only have a ps4 so i'll only look at sale items that are ps4 only… I wouldn't go look at wiiU games. so if theres a sale for a game I might post the ps4 version as a deal and not the WiiU version.

and on the big adventure sale I don't think it's limited to adventure games. J-Stars victory versus+ and BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma EXTEND is on the sale too.
