    500ml Big Mac Sauce Bottles - $4.95

Why is this a bargain ? What is the saving ???

    • +17

      Hi waves :)

      • +15

        waves back…

    • +28

      Cheapest it's ever been

    • +36

I don't like your run of positively voted comments lately jv, it's just not right!

Or are you some alien taking the body of jv?

      (I didn't neg you btw)

      • Yep definitely not right. Has jv hacked ozbargain

    • +2

Normally 50 cents per serving (less than 50 mL). 500 mL is definitely more than 10 servings.

      • It was $10/500 mL in the previous deal.

        • There we go haha. I don't know the exact figures but this is definitely cheaper if you're gonna buy 10 servings' worth.

    • Wow, that comment went from being highly upvoted to highly downvoted in under 2hrs!

      • +2

Probably a learned reaction by some to just downvote jv all the time.

        • 65 votes (and counting) made against his comment lol wow

    • A serving of Mac sauce us approximately 20g which costs 40c therefore if you paid $5.20 for 13 of them you would only have 260g. Bargain.

  • which stores? is there a list?

    • Yep check the link :)

      • +2

        lol at the Vic stores…

        • ?

        • @Spackbace:

Seemly random range of stores. Tarneit for example is not a special store (flagship, heavily populated, etc.) and is generally not a place people would think of first. I would've thought of Swanston Street over Tarneit to hold such an event.

        • @silverrat23:

          Got ya!
Yeah WA is all over the place

        • @Spackbace:

I honestly can't understand. There is a market for it. Why these ridiculous quantities and ridiculously limited amount of stores? I can't understand why it isn't just a standard store item. When I first got the email, I didn't read the fine print and was thinging wow about time they started selling it as a standard item.

        • @silverrat23: Tarneit seems to have one of the new "Burger Bars" though, which I'm keen to try this weekend.

        • @Mobe1969: Because it makes the news. Days of free advertising for them. Pretty simple.

        • All the WA stores are SOR :(

      • +5

More lolz at the NSW stores.

        Mostly around la la land.

  • +2
  • Sydney Metro Boardway only. Come on maccs

  • +1
    • +3

You don't know what the proportions are though

      • +4

http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2011/05/a-better-big-mac-… the recipe on here is legit, use Masterfoods gherkin relish for the sweet pickle relish

        • +1

If this works, I will marry you

      • +3

Oh dannyboi, the fries, the fries are calling
From Maccas to Maccas, and down the golden arches
The summer's long, and all the sauce bottles are drying
'Tis you, 'tis you must go and I must ride.

        • +2

But come ye back, when dinner's on the menu
Or when your stomach's grumbling with hunger
'Tis I'll be at Maccas flipping all-beef patties
Oh dannyboi, oh dannyboi, the Big Mac calls

  • +3

Hurry everyone!! Use your macca's gift cards now!!! ;)

  • -5

These will be down to 20 cents by Sunday after they have 3,992 left after Saturday…

    • +24

Depends if the staff are ex-Dick Smith staff, then there won't be any left!

      • +2

Comment of the year so far!

      • +2

Lol if they buy it its dick sauce, do you realy want that?

Its actualy a commercialy made ranch dressing that you can get free samples of at the syd ect commercial food shows, I forgot the brand but its same taste

    • +1

jv you and me forever, fat chance, these will sell out for eBay sales. :)

  • buy up one of these as a keepsake then 20yrs down the track get onto Channel 10 news to open it and eat it.. it will taste the same due to all the sugar, salt and preservatives they use in their products.

    • +25

If you were as smart as you think you are you would realise that Channel 10 News wont exist in 20 years.

      • and if you were smarter than you thought, you would see that Channel Ten has been around since the 80's and unless you plan to buy Channel Ten and make it non-existent to prove a point then meh.. :P

    • +5

Why bother waiting 20 years when you can just make it up on the internet now? That's how news works these days.

      • Yeah, start a post on Reddit.

    • In 20 years you can send it to Ashens for a review :D

  • +1

What do you do with it try and make a diy big Mac ……I'm sure the attraction to maccas isn't the sause … it's not having to cook ……. or because are are hungry and not near home and free WiFi. …

Reproduce the maccas experience at home ….what's next maccas meal kit at the supermarket to compete with the other mealkits

I will buy a bottle and try it unadulerated

    • +1

Uhhh dipping sauce? For chips, nuggets?

  • So can people go at 12.01am Saturday ?

    • Are you going to line up beforehand?

      • +1

        Possibly… ;) ;)

      • +2

        Or before leg

  • +2

WA stores: Armadale, Melville or Thomson's Lake.

Thomson's Lake? I sure hope they don't make us swim out to the middle of it for some sauce lol

    • +3

      Yep I've heard there's about 3000 bottles there :P

Actually, it's worse, it's in Cockburn!

      • +7

lived in Perth all my life and still had to google the Thomson's Lake store to arrive at the same conclusion as you lol

        • +4

          Same! :)

      • +7

Last time I was in cockburn I got gonorrhoea

      • +2

I wonder why only those 3 stores in Perth?
And all south of the river!
GOing to try a price beat at officeworks :)

      • -1

Cocburn? Ouch. That must have hurt. Did the town founder have a thing for exhaust pipes?

    • +2

Hmmm, looks like I'm in for at least a 20 min drive, and I live SOR! Bad luck NOR heathens.

Looks like a determined Perthson could hit up all three stores in about 40 mins

      • +2

your ozbargainer level is off the charts.

        we are not worthy

then again, i like being far, far from Armadale ;)

      • +1

At least a 4.5 hour drive for us in Albany. I hear McDonald's do home delivery these days, I wonder….

  • +3

    No bargain here..

Might as well post In and Out Burgers that went on sale yesterday for a few hours.
Lotsa of interest but not a bargain

  • +2

But will we get there before Broden?

  • +1

There are plenty of recipes online on how to make home made versions using common ingredients. May not be the exactly the same but the one i tried a few years back tasted pretty close.

  • Worst sauce at maccas imo

    • +5

      thats a god damn lie

      • I ate free big macs for a month via ozbargain. Never again!

  • what a load of shit none near me I'm not driving to Penrith

    • Are you too good for Penrith? Nobody too good for Penrith

    • +6

      *Penrif

  • Limited edition macas products are collectibles, some of you might scoff and don't see the value of a 5 dollar bottle of sauce but something like this can fetch a pretty penny on ebay.

    • STOP TALKING.

      • -1

        I'm really typing

        • You fingers may be moving and you may be typing, but I think upstairs you're really not computing!

        • -1

          @apey75:
I don't have a computer upstairs. It's just my master bedroom

        • @spn: Well in that case you should turn on the lamp every now and then.

    • No.

  • +1

I make Special Sauce for the missus all the time. She loves it.

    • +3

Oh Rod you cheeky old bugger!

    • +1

letting her shake the 'bottle' eh?!

  • Would be really cool to see what the ingredients are and how it's made

  • +4

The Adelaide locations are awful, City - West Tce, Gawler and Darlington

    • Really. It would appear they tried to spread them out as much as possible to get as wider net as possible. One north, one south and one central.
      Seemed pretty reasonable.

  • +4

    What time does it start?

    • Nothing was listed on the Maccas website, so short of ringing them, how do we find out? Wonder if they might not sell them until after the breakfast menu stops …

  • +10

just ask for extra sauce on your big mac, then scrape it into your own bottle. that's the true ozbargain way

    • +1

I read down to your comment and i lost it LOLz
