      • do they charge extra for extra pickles?

    • +7

What is wrong with people :/

      • +1

        No pick up option.
I wouldnt want that sitting at the back of an Australian Post van all day

      • Well he is up $25 (before ebay fees)

      • Haha it is removed now

    • "If you can't get one you can buy mine."

      lol

    • What a dog. Nationality would be very obvious

  • Think I might just leave some mayo out in the sun and save the line up :)

  • The locations in nsw are awful. Mostly regional.

  • Praise brand Thousand Island dressing is currently half price at woolworths 330ml for $1.74. Basically the same thing.

    • Thousand Island is pink with tomato sauce in it. Tartare would be closer but still a way off.

    • They say it's basically Thousand Island and Ketchup. But American Thousand Island is vastly different than the Australian version which is a seafood sauce.

  • I cant believe there is so much discussion about big mac sauce
……. I cant believe i logged in just to say that :S

    • +5

Hydrolysed protein is msg. High fructose corn syrup is not good either .
      Neg away McDonald's lovers.

      • +6

It's a condiment / sauce. Most condiments that you can buy from a supermarket shelf aren't healthy ingredients anyway.

Are you expecting to find green tea, chia seed, goji berries and kale in a burger sauce?

        • +1

Might even find a Nutri Ninja inside!

        • No I do not expect that.
I do expect company's to label correctly and inform truthfully of how these "ingredients" affect your health.
Never going to happen tho I spose. Too many fat profits to be had.
Perhaps you and your sarcasm could start a petition?

        • +1

I hope High fructose corn syrup iant in my sauces

      • Hydrolysed protein is msg

        Yum.

    • +1

      mmmm….yum, lots of numbers.
405 & 160c are particular faves of mine

      • +1

if you add up all those numbers for $4.99 it is a bargain.

    • +1

I am allergic to Big Mac sauce for some reason, I wonder which ingredient of that it would be.

  • Is it limited one per person?

    • Yep, apparently

  • That sucks!

    • +4

Not as much as this supposed deal. Can somebody explain where the deal actually is here

  • +1

Score! Rockhampton is on the list. Now to find out which store out of the four is doing it.

    • Keep us updated!

      • +2

If you go to the original email and click at the top, View in Webpage and select Maccas Sauce with your location, it will show the specific store it is selling it at :)

        • awesome, thanks for the tip!

        • Awesome thanks. One question. Where can I find the original email, I never received it.

        • @lbrunsmann: Just the PDF attachment link opens up as an email.

  • -4

The list of suburbs is incomplete. Here is the complete list: https://mcdonalds.com.au/find-us/restaurants?qfilter=Big%20M…

    • +2

dont think it is available at all stores.

      • -3

your physics textbook says "E=MC^2". you go "i dont believe it"

    • What you talkin bout Willis?

    • Read the legend on the left. Zoom in on a store, if the marker is red, special sauce is available. If the marker is grey, special sauce is not available. I'm not going to zoom in on all the stores, but most of them are grey

  • +3

How else am I going to get 500ml of Big Mac sauce? Buy several Big Macs? That'll cost far more than $4.95, so this is clearly a bargain.

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise or Miracle Whip(ugh!)
    2 tablespoons French dressing
    4 teaspoons sweet pickle relish
1 tablespoon finely minced white onion
    1 teaspoon white vinegar
    1 teaspoon sugar
    1/8 teaspoon salt

  • +1

is there a limit per customer?? I can see envision people coming along and buying boxes of the stuff.

    • The email I got says "LIMITED TO 1 BOTTLE PER PERSON PER DAY."

    • I can see envision people coming along and buying boxes of the stuff.

You are more delusional than James Hird.

Or a Collingwood supporter that thinks they're gonna win the flag any time soon?

  • -1

    Mostly feral locations in QLD.

  • -4

Eight Mile Plains, ohhh nooo all the Asians (or Bsians) will grab these quick.

  • +2

is this the most overrated sauce ever?

    • +3

It's almost like different people have different tastes and preferences!

  • normal price isnt it?

  • +2

300 bottles for the whole of Sydney. Seems fair!

  • From what time on Saturday?

    • Whatever time the individual store opens I imagine

  • which airport store? the 1 outside or the 1s in T3 or T4?

    • +1

      T4 as per the pdf!

  • +1

I have often heard special sauce was just mayo left in the sun, and took it as a joke, but I made some mayo, and turned it into tartare sauce, and the kids left it on the bench after making up a feed. Later that day, I was informed it tasted just like big mac special sauce, so there you go.

  • Who wants to buy some of my tulips?

  • +1

the issue now is, what time on Sat 23rd? Since most Maccas are 24 hours, 12am sat 23rd is also possible.

    • Yeah. And looking at the live countdown on the email, 11pm in Queensland. Not sure when in Perth

I can just see a lot of ticked off customers who rock up saturday morning and they are sold out. To ex-Dick Smith staff :p

    • I don't think they have thought about it as much as you

  • +3

Being on holidays still, I forgot what day it was. So I rocked up today and got lucky - they're selling them already. There's a limit of one, but I drove 20 mins to Warilla to get them, so she let me have 2. I suggest you call the store first before going.

Also they have the feedback system now which is similar to KFC, except I don't think you have to spend anything to get the reward.

    • -8

you drove 40 minutes return for some sauce….
…in many parts of the world people walk 40km just for some fresh drinkable water

….something to think about while you munch on your next bigmac ;)

      • +2

If you care about them, please go to other forums. this is big mac and about the promo.

        • -1

im here for deals…this aint no deal. as you said its a promo…this is just free advertising

        • @franco cozzo: As another person has already stated, these were last time sold for $9.95. So whilst it is a promo item, it's still a deal as it's half price from last time sold.

      • Dude I'm on holidays, and have been for the past month. It's a weekday and everyone else is working, plus I drive a fuel efficient turbo diesel. Big Mac sauce is exclusive as hell - only 300 bottles allocated for Sydney. Makes sense to me.

  • as some got lucky. 1030am start selling tomorrow for other stores .

    • What about for stores open 24 hours?

  • this isnt even a 'deal' or bargain. its a promotion with limited availability

maccas hardly need any more free advertising…

  • +2

called up the store at preston (24 hrs) and they said it starts 10.30am

    • I just checked my local in WA - same thing, when the lunch menu kicks in

    • hope they don't start selling it to people that just ask instore :/

    • I just stopped in at the Preston store on my way home and they are sold out. They started selling at midnight and it was all gone in 20 minutes.

So whoever told you it was 10:30am on Saturday was mistaken. Pretty disappointing. I suspect there will be a multitude of complaints coming.

      • Ringwood sold me my bottle at 7pm Friday night.

      • ffs lol… i even called twice to confirm

  • +1

    amazing

  • Epic meal time guys could buy the sauce over the counter on normal day. Anyone tried?

  • holy cow its in coffs harbour!

  • Ringwood store in vic already selling theirs (Friday night) just picked one up.

    • Any limit enforced?

      • Yes 1 per car/person.
As if 12:30 they were 50% sold out.

        • I picked mine up at about 11:45PM. At that time they had maybe 20 bottles left in the fridge

        • @sassypants:
My friend went at 12:30 and there was at least 40 bottles left.
Maybe they split up the bottles in the display fridge.

    • +1

I was at the Ringwood store from around 9pm and watched at quite a few people walking in just to buy the sauce. If they are ozbargainers we have quite a diverse demographic!

  • Just picked up mine from Ringwood

  • Grabbed one from Tarneit, VIC. They are limiting one sauce per car at the moment.

    • The advertisement does say one per person.

      • +1

One per car isn't the same as one per person :P

    • Sauce

Never going to Tarneit again, how can one place have so much space and open roads yet they still managed to stuff up the way lanes and turns work.

  • The Preston VIC store started selling at midnight and was gone in 20 minutes

    • +1

that's bullshit , going to complain.
called up few times to confirm and even drove by earlier in the afternoon to ask, only to be told it starts 10:30am

  • None at South Melbourne :/ they sold out around 1am

  • I can't believe they realeased it at 10 locations in QLD and only 7 in VIC.. we got shafted
