Can people pay with their Dick Smith Gift cards ?

You know, the ones where people paid money and Dick Smith kept it…

    • Unlikely.

    • You know the answer JV, so why keep asking the question? If you want to point out (yet again) how unjust this is, then just say it. No one disagrees with you, it is unjust, but this is getting repetitive in any Dick Smith post.

so why keep asking the question?

        google ranking.

        • Most comments in a Dick Smith post are repetitive. The actual so called deals are also.
Nobody likes a Dick on it's last legs.

Even the lawyerz are posting dick Smith sales.😅

    • plot twist: he/she acts for DSE :p

  • website got an upgrade…

    • Yeah, they added "(Receivers and Managers Appointed) (Administrators Appointed)" in fineprint at the bottom.

Amazing what this does to the general look!

  • This is a 50Hz Refresh Rate piece of poo.

This means - the picture will be the opposite of smooth.

    • Hmm I'm using a dicksmith branded one now and it looks perfectly decent to my untrained eyes haha. cant imagine this to be worse than the brandless dick smith tvs.

    • I have seen hundreds of 50Hz tv's, they are perfectly fine when watching free to air channels.
Comments like this should be banned unless you can provide some factual information.
Also by saying "This means" tells me you haven't even seen this tv at all.

      • they are perfectly fine when watching free to air channels.

Keep in mind that this post is for a 4k UHD tv. Using a UHD tv for "free to air channels" is rather superfluous in Australia, as they barely even broadcast in HD, not to even mention 4k UHD. Nobody would buy this tv for the purpose of watching normal broadcasts.

        • People who don't do their research and get sucked in by marketing hype will definitely buy a $859.00 55 Inch UHD tv for watching free to air.
Just like the people who have been sucked in by the whole 100Hz vs 50Hz.
Even if they know everything, it's not as though they are going to buy a seperate tv just for watching free to air.

      • I have seen hundreds of 50Hz tv's, they are perfectly crap when watching free to air channels.

This is based on what I have seen not what you have seen.

I wouldn't be paying for it online.

Make sure you have it in hand before handing over the money as well.

Highly recommend steering clear of these crooks. This tv isnt even a bargain. Buy from a store you know will be there to help you out if there's ever a fault.
