  • Might want to check your link before posting, the price isn't live.

    • It's been posted as live for tomorrow.

    • Starts tomorrow :)

    50Hz?

    • And probably 24hz in max res.

Ridiculous in 2015. Want to watch action on that? Oh look it crossed the screen and only appeared in 4 frames.

      • Slow mode…..maybe good for elderly people

    • Like every other tv…

  • …and don't forget:

"BONUS DICK SMITH 23.5" HD TV VALUED AT $249 GE6982"

I guess if you wanted to gift it to older parents who only watch dramas & no sport, it'd be good…plus a spare little TV for the bedroom or guest room?

    • are you sure that the extra tv offer will be available tomorrow?

      • No way to know…until tomorrow, that is?

If they remove it for the sale, you might get it anyway if you bring a printed screenshot with you…I've done that before & the sales people didn't blink (I think it was jb hifi, though).

        • The free/bonus TV seems to be missing now…

    Good for displaying pics.

  • That's a pair of ugly stand. Probably from the 23.5'' model

  • That stand looks wonky!

    $773 with NEWYEAR75 code

Just went down to my local DSE to have a look at this model. Whilst I nearly went and bought it, I decided I couldn't live with this day to day (even at $773 using the above code). Here's my reasons why. Firstly, it's actually pretty chunky akin to something from previous generations. The bezel looked really cheap compared to the Samsung and the LG's that were adjacent to it. The compression looked absolutely awful from their demo (can only guess how bad the upscaling is). But the real kicker for me was the interface, there's something seriously wrong with it. It's really slow to respond to commands, there's no tv-guide, the remote sometimes would just stop working for no reason - it's something I'd expect from a cheap chinese DVD player, and my guess is it's not that far from the truth. Tempting as it is to have a 4k, i'd spend that little bit more to get something that looks and feels like it's not made for a caravan.
