I have NATO straps from here and they are quality build, great way to jazz up a timeless piece or a even a 'Pebble'.

The cheap ones off aliexpress are really nasty quality - thin material with too much flex, the buckles are flimsy, gluing instead of stitching, edges not treated properly, etc. Unless you are jazzing up a $10 Kogan watch, spend a few more $$ and get a proper strap.

      • Interesting you say that regarding thickness and flex. I've bought a nato off ebay which was quite thick and inflexible and it is by far the least comfortable strap I own. I find a thinner, more flexible strap to follow the curvature of the wrist a little more naturally, hence the resultant comfort.

Also, if your watch is fairly thick in case thickness to begin with, putting a thick nato really adds to how far the watch sticks out, which can be a bit much.

You get what you pay for I guess *edit - I can vouch for the quality of these ones

    • I've bought NATO straps from a variety of places, both leather and nylon. I've never bought from this store as far as I remember, but I will say China ones are extremely hit and miss.
Sure, plenty (most?) are probably made in China, but it's about the quality control and materials used. An iPhone 6s is made in China, so is a Doogee phone, I know which one of them is better build quality.
Two cheap straps from China sellers I received in the last fortnight look good, however the buckle/tang are so terrible I've had to replace them with spare parts from other watch straps. One buckle in particular was completely crooked to the point of being laughable.

I have a few different watches I wear on these straps and I wouldn't trust any of them with flimsy hardware. Other than that the nylon seems fine and is stitched pretty well.

Cheapestnatostraps actually make a quality product (the nylon isn't too thick like some, so its very comfortable), and if your picky like me (I only look for PVD in the square ring), they also have a better range.

5 Natos will cost you roughly $33 including shipping so works out to be about $7 each so pretty good value IMHO. From memory, shipping can take a while though.

    • Shipping took less than 2 weeks for me.. about 1 week iirc, from Sweden.

      • Last time I ordered, I recall it was significantly longer than that. So perhaps it could have been an anomaly.

        • Perhaps. Mine was Swedish Mail Priority or something, the standard one. They quote 10 business days to Australia on the cheapestnatostraps website.
