Can this be used for Google Play credit?

  • how much data do you get?

    • 3GB

      • That's on Data Pass.

    • Depends which prepaid plan you choose. I've been using the Freedom Plus plan and that gives 1.3GB day + 1.3GB night. I read somewhere that the 1.3GB night is ending soon.

      • so it's $30 to get the sim, then you need to load another $30 on it to get the 2.6gb?

        • No, the 2.6gb is already included.

        • It's $10 to buy the starter pack and it comes with $30 credit to join up on a few prepaid plans. I think there are about 4 to choose from. The best value is the Freedom Plus plan if you're after data and calls.

        • @baicai:

I see. Thinking of getting it as a backup for when the home WiFi goes down.

      • Night Data Bonus has been extended until the end of Feb.

    • If you want more data you can get the Optus $30 kit from Big W @ $10. Activate before Feb 12th you'll get 5GB data.

Good luck finding one. I went to 3 different Big W's and couldn't find any.

        • I didn't know that, damn. Fortunately it looks like Woolies has them on sale this Wednesday.

      • +1

I have gone to 4 different Big W's and they don't have stock. They said they have not had stock for weeks!

        • Good news. See above - woolies will have them for $10 soon.

I ordered this last time, and still haven't received it. They took 2 weeks to send me and email saying 'we just sent your sim' and now over a week after that, still no sign of it.
    Don't order if you're in a hurry !

  • Is this still going on? Awesome.

  • Can you bung it in a dual sim phone for data only?

    • +1

Yes. I did it with my Moto G 2nd gen.

  • This would also quality for the Telstra Air promotion, right? (thats free wifi until June?)

    • Yes

  • Anyone been able to port their postpaid previously contracted number to prepaid with these.
Or do I have to contact Telstra and convert my offer to prepaid and then recharge with $30.

Hopefully I can save $20 and get my first month for $10.

    • yes.

Don't throw your old sim away.

You have to contact them through their online app.

They'll ask for the sim details and what you want then transfer it to your old sim.

  • Would the SIM work if I put it into a generic mobile broadband USB modem and used Telstra APN?

    • Yes

  • Thanks Miku

  • When do these SIMs expire?

    • +1

I got one from HN few weeks ago, it said expire in 03/2017~

  • thanks got one delivered cause its free delivery

      • +3

          NSW, Coogee.

  • can i use this starter kit to recharge my current telstra prepaid?

    • No.

      • Since it can be used to recharge current Telstra prepaid, why you bought over 15 kits?

        • It can't be used to recharge current Telstra prepaid. I use these kits just for data so I stock up when they are cheap.

        • @tianyujojo: Sorry, I missed not behind can, now I see, thanks.

  • Good price but still have about 15 kits laying around from last $5 deal. Will pass this time.

  • So the data bonua is no longer there. 5gb data.

    • Bonus data ended on 25 Jan.

  • +1

Will Officeworks price beat this deal?

  • I'm interested in making an in-app purchase for PIA for US$39.95. Does anyone know if I can stack 2 of these together or will I need to pay the balance out of pocket?

    • +2

Buy 2 kits (A and B), transfer the balance from number A to number B using creditme2u. Now you have $59 under number B.

      • Ah, that's pretty cool - thanks. I'm presuming any remaining amount can go towards calls/data/apps/music, etc? Also will I need a Windows Phone to buy a TV show from the MS Store?

Your order no. has not been accepted

Thanks for placing your order with us. However after careful review, we have decided to not accept your order.

I bought one sometime last year. Guess you are only allowed to buy one per lifetime.

Please be advised your order was cancelled due to the item limit being exceeded, you order has been refunded in full and your funds should be received shortly.

Should you have any questions or require further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.
