  • The second tier looks great.

    • +3

The $1 tier also has Rayman Origins, which is about as good as platformers get, and has 4 player local co-op. Kids and I played it for hours and hours, great fun.

  • +1

    In before Ubiplay sucks comments.

Which, after playing Tomb Raider from the Windows app store seems like the greatest thing ever.

    • Why? Details? Haven't installed Tomb Raiders yet.

      • +3

No exclusive full screen, no overlays, no graphics/AA injection, no screenshot/video capture compatibility etc.

My point was anticipating Uplay haters when there is now something much worse.

    • What correlation does Ubiplay have with the Windows app store?

      • He probably means that it's very unintuitive and finicky right now. The GFWL client was the same way and getting DLC through it was a bitch.

    • The thing is, uplay really have no issue at all. Just haters being haters hating all non-steam launcher. Blaming uPlay as DRM but they forgot that Steam is also a DRM. The irony lol.

      • Lord Gaben disagrees! lol

Seriously, nothing wrong with Uplay, just another DRM you have to install onto PC which was my only annoyance… I have three bloody DRMs installed just to play the games i bought >_>

      • +4

It's just annoying mainly because we all already have steam, and once a week when we have half an hour to play games, Uplay always stops us to waste that downloading some irrelevant updates.

We can live with it, but it adds nothing.

        • Well my steam updates daily, so I have no idea why the blame is on uPlay that it requires update every once in a while. You probably only turn on uPlay once every few months when the game needed uPlay. An update in every few month period is fair enough don't you think?

        • +1

          @Letrico:

An update in every few month period is fair enough don't you think?

No, that's the point, most people

only turn on uPlay once every few months when the game needed uPlay.

Not really complaining, it's no big deal, but it's an unnecessary annoyance.

        • -3

          @mgowen:

          I am speechless.

Let's just make all uPlay games DRM free and let piracy go rampant so that people don't have to update their uPlay.

        • +2

@Letrico: Or get rid of uPlay altogether (and while we're at it, Origin) and embrace Steam?

      • +6

No it's not just "haters being haters". A lot of people have valid complaints about UPlay (including myself) because of how we have been burnt in the past. Heroes of Might and Magic 6 was the worst experience with a game for me, including
        1) not being able to play the game for days because UPlay was down
        2) losing all my savegames because they stuffed up an update
        3) getting instantly kicked out halfway through a battle in a game because of their "always online" scheme
        4) maximum of 10 savegames when you are online (and lose all your "legendary" weapons if offline)

        • +1

I hate the lack of a reliable backup system most of all….. Both steam AND Origin are easier to backup in comparison.

        • Anyone who thinks Uplay is as good as either STEAM or ORIGIN is kidding themselves.

It's user interface and reliability leave a lot to be desired.

Given the choice of the same game on all 3 platforms my preference is STEAM then ORIGIN and UPLAY only as a last resort.

  • +10

I really enjoyed Call of Juarez: Gunslinger. Played it on PS3. Worth $1.

    • Getting the bundle just for this game. Always heard that it's underrated

      • +1

You wont be disapointed, one of the best games Ive ever played!

    • I agree. It is heaps of fun. Great gameplay, entertaining story.

    • +2

The dollar tier is worth it for Rayman Origins alone, so if Gunslinger is OK, it's a no-brainer.

  • Good deal, thanks OP

  • +5

Gotta hate it when you buy a bunch of games on the Steam sale for $9.99 each, then a month later 6 of them show up in a humble bundle for $15….
    Good bundle though!

  • +4

If Rayman Origins was redeemable via steam, I'd have grabbed the tier 1 pack.

    • does it really matter?

    • +2

This may help a little depending on your reasoning http://gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/242888/can-i-play-…

      • Definitely works. I was doing to Rainbow Six Siege so that my friend can watch my steam broadcast. It even have the entire steam UI accessible.

        • Does that mean it'll also work with In-Home streaming too?

Wanted Rayman but I have it setup to stream from main rig to (low powered) HTPC. For a couple $$$ worth it to try!

        • @downforce: I am not too sure about that one sorry. I have nothing to stream to so I never tested it. I heard it works from when I was searching how to broadcast.

        • @downforce: I managed to stream AC:Unity a while ago by linking it as a shortcut through steam. I couldn't get a very high quality video rate through my wifi though but I'm only using n.

  • +1

Bummer, too bad you can't select the platform that The Division is played on. Still it's quite a nice collection there for the $75 US mark.

  • +5

Great deal uplay has improved alot recently I don't see the hate. It is perfectly usable unless people care about seeing all their games in steam.

    • Yeah, I agree.

If I want to see a Uplay game in Steam, I just add it as a shortcut :)

  • I have most already but considering getting it just for Grow Home, looks kinda fun!

  • I'm interested mainly in the Assassin's Creed series. Are Rogue and Syndicate good, esp. when compared to Black Flag (love this!) and Unity?

    Thanks.

    • I loved Rogue, same gameplay as Black Flag, just a different story

    • +1

Probably worth noting that Syndicate is not actually in this deal (yet?).

    • Rogue is like Black Flag upgrade. Shorter story but the ship mechanics is excellent. I find Syndicate more interesting than Unity but I like Elise more as a female but sadly she was not playable.

Yes Syndicate is worth your time if you like AC.

  • Too bad Far Cry 3 is not in tier 1. It is the only game I want from tier 2. Anybody want to trade a spare key (if that is possible with UPlay), PM me.

  • +2

A lot of the hate is from the irritation from needing a third DRM system.

Everyone has Steam, many many people have Origin, nobody was crying out for uPlay, especially when many older Ubisoft games are available on Steam.

  • +1

just to clarify, with the uPlay ones, do you get a steam key still? ie. is it added to your steam profile, but still requiring uPlay to be installed? or is it added to your uPlay account, and nothing to do with steam?

i assume the latter (but noticed that the steam entry mentions uPlay).

(never bought or used a uPlay game before).

    • For example if Far Cry 3 was a Steam key, still requires Uplay installed, it will appear in both Steam and Uplay. When you launch it through Steam it will first load Uplay, log in, and then proceed to load the game. Note that this bundle Far Cry 3 is a UPlay only key, and won't appear in Steam, unless you add it manually as a shortcut

    • +1

FC3 is definitely just a Uplay key, I just redeemed mine. Didn't open steam at all.

  • +4

    Eeeew, Uplay >_<

So many ISPs offer unmetered Steam downloads, cant bring myself to have to deal with Uplay, have my games separate from my steam library and have to use my precious monthly quota to download them.

  • Just payed $1 for the Gunslinger bundle, worth it for that game alone, its awesome!

    Thanks OP :)

  • Just incase nobody knows, when you go to pay, you can choose where your money goes.
Ie. Most to charity or most to humble bundle or most to ubisoft.

  • What is AC Chronicles like? Considering the $15 tier for now.

  • +4

    pity its on uplay

uplay is the worst thing ever made

  • +1

Can you still redeem it urself if buying as a gift?
Is there any benefit like steam, where you can trade?

  • Blacklist was also included in previous Tom Clancy Bundle in September of last year, so if anybody got a spare key now from tier 2 happy to trade for another Steam game or two from my spares.
I do not mind uPlay at all so PM me, please.

    • I already own Blacklist and Farcry 3, what do you have available to trade?
It won't let me PM since I'm overseas currently.

      • See PM.
Maybe you can now reply to my PM.
Otherwise let me know here or by e-mail which I will also PM you.

  • +1

    Eww! Uplay

  • Nobody seems to be mentioning it, but Grow Home is a beautiful little game about a robot that climbs. One of my favourite games of 2015 (though only with a controller, it's a bit unwieldy with a keyboard). And as a bonus, it doesn't need uplay. Between that and Rayman, this is probably one of the best bundles I've seen.

  • why uPlay why :(

Spanning my games over 4 cloud providers is abit much IMHO… sigh

  • Can anyone confirm if individual keys? Or are they grouped? (Up to the $15 limit)

    • +2

      All individual.

      • Thanks!

  • weird I just bought the $1 bundle and they only gave me the rayman origin game. What the hell?

    • +1

There should be another tab for Steam games.

  • is The Crew really as shite as most people say?

  • Anyone know if Farcry 3 is the deluxe edition?
