      $16mill, drop in the bucket.
Now if only they could spend as much time and effort hounding the ridiculously wealthy individuals and large corporations that pay little to no tax.

  • WTF is a Childcare Degree anyway?

I wonder if there's tax benefits for doctors who treat/diagnose their own cold, chefs who cook for themselves and family, farmers who eat their own veggies

If you set up a corporate child care business that was licensed and regulated and eligible to receive child care benefit, I don't think there is any reason you couldn't be one of the employees. That might be more than you want to do, however. In that circumstance you would be employed by dealovermel Pty Ltd, and that company would receive the government benefit. If you also happened to own the shares of that company, I don't see a problem.
If you set up a child care business with other kids, you would receive the benefit, so I don't see why you wouldn't also receive it for your own kids if you otherwise met the eligibility.
The regulatory and compliance issues of starting a childcare enterprise would likely make it not worth your time if you planned to do it just for your own kids.

That's nothing. I have a medical degree and every night, I bulk bill myself on Medicare.

  • I wish I could down vote this.

What is wrong with you OP?
