  • Is this recommended for wooden floors?

    • All floor types. But if you are 100% wooden you might be fine with a cheaper cleaner ?

    • My dog had problems using the on-off switch…

      • It's meant for vacuuming your dog, not getting him to vacuum for you.

    • The most basic Miele will be enough for that.

  • Good deal! No free bags this time though ?

    • That deal expired.

But there was a 20% off deal that time also, at TGG, which brought it to around this price ($423 if pick up), plus cashrewards. I was able to get the free bags with it.

      • Me too!

Nothing quite says I love you just like buying a vacuum

    • Good time with Valentine's Day coming up…

    • lol…

  • Might get one its about time my dog cleaned up his own mess.

  • For the price it cant be beat. But it does only an ok job of cleaning. After using the rainbow this vacuum feels like it doesnt clean much. Still have my miele c3 but probably wont buy one again.

    • what the hell is the rainbow? Thought that was a refraction of light after rain?

      • It is a vacuum cleaner that filters using water in the vacuum… costs about 5 times what this miele does and I seriously doubt that it would do a better job and definitely would not last as long.

        • It actually lasts longer, many people i know have had theirs for over 20 years. And i tried the rainbow vacuum over the floor where i ran the miele vacuum 50 times and it picked up dirt that the miele wouldnt pick up

My old Cat and Dog Miele is now 13 yr old and the rotating brush nead is now just showing signs of wear. A replacement head is about $140 but I will buy this, as the new machine price is oNly $40 more than I paid for it back in 2003. Best vacuum cleaner we have ever owned. About 5 years ago I thought I should take it apart and clean the insides. That was a complete waste of time as the thing was practically spotless inside. I guess good engineering really is worth the money.

  • i bought a hoover version of this that has a powered head, not sure if this 1 is powered or air driven for $499

    • Air driven.

The powered models are over $1k.

  • Just some advice, the turbo head is not designed for picking up string. It will tangle the roller and the roller won't spin. If you see some cotton thread on the carpet, remove the turbo head and suck it up through the tube before replacing the head.

    This will happen a lot.

Quite a good unit. Nice and quiet.

    • I don't thing any turbo head is designed to pick up string or long hair or lengths of cotton thread. Just check it from time-to-time and cut it free.
