OMG! Is this considered as a good price? In USA this laptop is 1000$ cheaper. I recently talk to Lenovo rep and mentioned to him that Lenovo brand is not loyal to AUS and very expensive . He said that Lenovo doesn't care about AUS because they can make better profit in USA.

    • I get $2342.49 fully spec'd, still a better price than offered in this deal.

    • To be fair that doesn't have the 1440p touch screen.

      • Yes it does, I've added the option.

    • Wow rep do some homework next time!

Neg for being cheaper elsewhere (direct from the manufacturer no less!)

Looks like you'll be having a holiday

  • I wouldn't pay $2500 for this laptop.

    • Not even for $2k..

      • The X1 carbon has a solid build and nice finish. It compact and light and last a long time.
I still have my old T40 IBM laptop :-)

But this one doesn't have the latest gen CPU and no GPU.

But it does have 2560×1440 which makes it around the $2K mark.

  • You can get Macs with better hardware than that for less.

  • "Notebooks R Us has been very impressed with the improvements Lenovo has made"

    Unfortunately, I'm not

Max I would pay for this is $900

    • Not sure why you were negged for posting a fact

  • It's a good laptop but given it's not a new model and running 5th gen Intel CPU it's not a good deal.

If I was spending 2500 would be looking at a Surface Book or MacBook Pro

  • This is not the lightest 14 inch Ultrabook in the world. LG has 0.98kg 14 inch ultrabook. LG even releases 15.6 inch 0.98kg ultrabook.

    • Kinda dubious about LG's ultra lights. Unless they have some new wonder material that leaves no weight at all for cooling + battery etc in the bigger sizes.

Not a deal, rep. Everyone else has stated the reasons already.
