You can get locked ones from BigW or Harvey Norman for $99.

    http://www.harveynorman.com.au/phones-accessories-gps/phones...

Is there some other spec difference?

    •

These are unlocked devices and don't have any additional bloatware by the carriers unlike the prepaid ones. Which means that any new Android versions can be downloaded to such devices sooner than carrier unlocked ones.

  •

Australian stock? Good Guys and Officeworks have them for $178 +ship

$199 for a phone with such a low specs…. how is this a bargain?

    • -1 vote

Which other non-chinese brands do you know of which offer better specs than the J1 and have similar brand reputation to Samsung?

  • +2 votes

No bargain, 4.3” 480 x 800 (WVGA) display $199? who will buy? The lock version is only $99 in bigw, kmart, coles. You could pay small fee (100% less than $100) to unlock it. The warranty service of those shops are much more better, convenient.

    Ripoff price

  •

    Terrible price!!

    • -2 votes

We have sold 7 units today

      •

I've made the mistake of buying an item from a seller many times only to find a few hours later I could have gotten it cheaper. I'm sure everyone of those 7 people you sold to would regret buying the phone from you if I showed them the prices from officeworks and the good guys

  •

You really are pandering to the wrong crowd here.

  •

    Bad price. Would not buy/10

    Hey guys!

    They've sold 7 units today!

    They've sold 7 units today!

    They've sold 7 units today!

    They've sold 7 units today!

    That should convince people.

    Q/ "Who's selling J1 cheaper?"
    A/….Everyone

    • -3 votes

As if it matters to anyone! People like you are "never buyers". People who wanted the device have bought from us.

  •

Cheaper elsewhere for unlocked models, much much cheaper for locked models.

Not to mention zero details about the phone in your OP, instead choosing to promote the business.

    Bad first attempt OP

    • -1 vote

All the phone details are on our website. No point in repeating information that's already available. What's the point you're trying to make?

      • +1 vote

This is community and if you expect to promote your business here than be ready to provide as much info as possible. Or else try somewhere else.

        •

Did you place an order? If not then why bother? There could be other buyers who may want to buy from us because we offer unmatched customer service & technical support.

        • +4 votes

@megatechwarehouse: I din't and i won't. Your arrogance is not acceptable here. Do you even realize meaning of community?

        "No point in repeating"

How many have you sold today?

          @megatechwarehouse:
There may be - but not from the OzBargain community. I'll admit your customer service is unmatched - it'd be hard to find one, tho Reginald Perrin and "I saw you Coming" spring to mind…

I think you've proven my point in your comments rep.

        Better luck next time!

  • +4 votes

You might have sold 7 units but you offically have no repuation on this site ever again.

With an attitude like that I hope your business suffers.

As listed above, loads of other more reputable shops have it cheaper.

Rep has a bad attitude also, I wouldn't count on good customer service from this company. Avoid.

      Good point!
Imagine trying to get warranty service from a guy with a smart-assed attitude like this.
      Would be a nightmare.

      • -1 vote

You need to do some more research. You're not that technical minded. Warranty on all electronics sold here in Australia are covered by the manufacturers.

        • +3 votes

No YOU need to do more reading.
First port of call for a warranty return is the selling retailer. Revealing yourself right there.

Quoting ACCC Repair, replace refund pages:
"The retailer who sold you the product or service cannot refuse to help you by sending you to the manufacturer or importer."
          https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/consumer-rights-guarantees...
          Dee Daw. You are wrong.

        • -1 vote

@King Tightarse: Yes but the retailers are only the channel through which your product gets sent to the manufacturer. Which retailer has repaired a faulty product for you in their back office? OMG you are just crazy!

        •

"sold here in Australia are covered by the manufacturers"

I can see that you and the various consumer protection and trade commissions around the country are heady for a very stormy relationship. FWIW - you are primarily responsible for warranty as the customer does not have a contract with the manufacturer, you do.
You have sent enough signals regarding your attitude, knowledge and respect for the public to ensure that it is doubtful anybody finding this thread would consider any act as foolish as trusting you.
          Good luck having it deleted….

          Keep trying, little pisser.
You are in a death spiral.

        •

@terrys: We have nothing to worry about so stop worrying your tiny brains so much. We work hard to regulate our business and work in accordance with the consumer law.

        •

@King Tightarse: Ur unpolished jokes don't even amuse yourself.

Imagine trying to get warranty service from a guy with a smart-assed attitude like this.

phone stops working after a few months. You contact store for warranty

You never bought from us! You have no proof! You're a 'never-buyer'!!!

        • +1 vote

          "Contact the manufacturer direct!
"Yes I have been shown the ACCC pages, I have read them but I refute them entirely!"
"…And I am prepared to argue!"

        •

Live happy in your own little world full of assumptions!

        •

Live happy in your own little world full of your own assumptions! even more reasons to explain why you're probably a never buyer!

Neg because cheaper elsewhere (everywhere) and stupid attitude.

    •

As if! People like you are "never buyers"

      • +1 vote

Yes, people here dont pay over average retail from sellers with dodgy attitudes.
        You got that right.

        •

Who are you to judge our attitude. We do business and we earn money. Unlike you who doesn't buy anything but cries about pricing 24x7 lol!

You are a joke son, a joke.
Oh well back driving a taxi, eh?

        •

@King Tightarse: Make sure you have money to pay for your taxi. Or maybe next time look for cheaper taxi deals on this site before you step into one ;)

  •

Look at the reply of OP. Ripoff
