The details are very scarce and nothing in the photo to indicate - assume 12v DC. Did a quick bit of research using ebay and this still seems an inflated price in comparison

The above are for 300 leds whereas SCA are for 120 Leds.
Can be had for even cheaper from CN / HK.
Is it illegal to have these on a car/motorcycle?
I think it's only illegal to have them switched on when in motion.

You could, but these strips are not very bright. You want bigger 5050 emitters, closer together. I prefer cool white too.
