  • Does this work with price match to Jetstar?

      Pretty sure it will.

        How do we price match to Jetstar?

        • go on a chat with their customer rep, live chat. They will then give you a special link with discounted price which you must pay within set time limits. Enjoy!

  • Damn, bought return flights a couple of days back :(

  • Good deal.

          @Zinger: And their very low fares. Goes with the territory.

  • What's on in Tas on the 05/04/16? Mona isn't open Tuesdays :p

    • LOL weird how it is closed on Tuesdays only though!
      work! Saving on my travel allocation by using Tiger so I have more money to spend on drinks! haha

  • Nice, was looking to buy flights to Melbourne in April. Perfect!

    Awesome…now just waiting on funds clearing so I can use my coles prepaid MasterCard to save an extra $51 in their "extra fees" ..

    • How does the coles prepaid MasterCard do that?
      Just looked at website and only talks about flybuys :/

    • Does that count as a debit card for the purposes of buying flights? Thought maybe the merchant fees are higher.

      • +1

        Yes it a pre-paid debit card so tigerair treats it as MasterCard debit card which wipes the $8.50 each way per person charge (I hope anyway)

        • Good luck. You could also get yourself an ME Bank (comes with Mastercard debit) account to avoid any fees in future. :)

          @JohnHowardsEyebrows:
          Or you could pricematch with Jetstar and pay using your normal credit card with no cc surcharge.

        • @Zinger: Always the best option where available. But a lot harder to do on domestic flights, as they have to be within the hour (international just have to be on same day), so often is only possible on Mel-Syd, and other very busy routes.

        • well for anyone wondering they DO NOT accept Coles prepaid reloadable MasterCards as debit no fee cards, so that idea just died, think I will try barter with Jetstar!!

        • @Ellen007: I have a Qantas Cash card from their QFF program which is a reloadable mastercard. I've used it before to book Tiger flights without fees. I even earn some QFF points :)

          @magicmoose:
          Yeah I don't understand why they don't accept it, the lady I spoke to @ TA had no idea & had to double check….

          Anyway I ended up price matching both flights with Jetstar & paid with the exact same card no fees & 10% discount so very happy with that managed to save nearly $100 :)

    Thanks for this, have to go for an engagement from PER to MEL with my wife in April so fitting.. Successfully price matched with Jetstar online chat the first leg you just let them know to use the promo code when checking the Tiger flights. Had to use Tiger, which I don't mind since they're the one with the deal, on the way back as Jetstar didn't have a suitable flight within the hour. Saved me a couple hundred from when I last checked cheers!
