$10 Discount for Purchases of $200 or More at Digital World International (DWI)

rmn2016

I decided to purchase a phone from this site. Did a search for a promo code, found this one that made a great price even better.
They seem to have a monthly promo code, so I guess this one expires at the end of Feb 2016.

The site has shocking reviews. Did you receive your phone?

    • Hello, yes I received the phone 10am today 16/2/2016, ordered on the 13/2/2016.
I originally only did a google search on "DWI review", from the result page the company didn't look to bad.

If I had done more research on the company (rather than just the specific model of the version of the phone I needed), I probably would have reconsidered this company.

The phone I received is new, genuine and is working. So fortunately it looks like I do not need to test their return policy.

Given many items are close to 500 or 1000, what's 10$. Word of warning they send everything from hk, so you might actually end up A lot more because of gst and courier processing fees.

    • Unless you buy from a shop (like Allphones/Optus/etc) most online phone sellers source their phones from HK/Singapore.
DWI appeared like I mentioned before appeared to be an okay shop to use and it had the best price. Then I found I could get another $10 off, this I thought was worth sharing here. (Often I look for promo codes once I have decided to use a company to see if I can get a discount.)

Unfortunately due to the premium price Australian pay for most tech including mobile phones even if I needed to pay GST it would still be vastly cheaper than the store price here.

And yes the $10 is a small percentage of the purchase price, but I prefer to have the extra $10 in my pocket.

      • im not discussing where other places source their phones. If you buy from them because it's sent from within Australia you will never get hit by customs charging you ten percent for the gst. Since dwi is coming from hk you might get a ten percent bill for get from customs.

You completely missed my point about being charged get for phones or other items over 1000.

  • I've had a pretty good experience from DWI despite some of the bad reviews. Their site just has a bad layout but service is much better than what I have experienced from Kogan.
