Air Conditioner Filter Media 33% off - Suits All Ducted RC Systems - Free Shipping @ AC Filters

180
ozbargain

Hi Ozbargainers - The guy I share a warehouse with is a refrigeration mechanic. We have about 10 years worth of stock of this product in our warehouse and I think its time to push it out the door and make room for my gear (camper trailer parts), so I knocked up a website to help him move it out the door - next step, Ozbargain….

Australian made filter media for ducted reverse cycle home/office/shop/restaurant air conditioners. All sizes available, if your size isn't listed just order the next size up or drop me a message and I can arrange a custom cut for you.

Ever wondered what is behind the air return air grill in the ceiling? - it's filter media just like this - and its probably filthy!

Yes you can wash it, yes you can vacuum it - but eventually it falls apart, gets greasy, gets clogged.

Mum and Dad type (non ozbargainers) do actually pay "fridgies" $150-300 to change this stuff…(Weird but true)

Use this opportunity to replace your AC's filter material yourself at Ozbargain prices!

Cleaning your existing filter - or putting a new filter in will:

Save you electricity (as the fan motor wont have to work as hard)
Increase maximum air flow for more efficient cooling of your home
Prolong the life of your AC fan motor
Ensure the air passing through your system is cleaner (less dust blowing around)

Use the code: ozbargain for 33% off our regular discounted price, I use this term loosely there really isn't a regular price for this product, eBay sets a bit of a benchmark but the price jumps around on eBay as well.

Anyway in the brutal world of Ozbargain, i'm pretty sure if this isn't THE BEST price in Australia for this product right now - I'll be told pretty swiftly.

Shipping is free Australia wide.
There is an additional 10% off if you add more than 1 item to your cart.

If we get flooded with orders I may have to pull the deal, if there is little interest the deal may sit in the Ozbargain archives for a while.

  • 10 year old stock and the best you can do is 33%? Tell 'em they're dreamin'…

    • +1

To clarify, the stock is approximately 6 months old (the 10 year reference is how long I think it will take to sell from today) and I don't think polyester degrades that fast anyway. This is a seasonal type product, allot sells in the summer, not so much sells in the winter. If it isn't cleared now - it will be in the warehouse until next summer.

Looks like pretty much just a dust filter (no bad thing), but a bit basic. I got some Filtrate carbon impregnated odor filtering stuff designed for use with central heating furnaces off Amazon (amazingly shipped here for $7 - that was a mistake - it's much more now) to cut some panels out to sit up on top of my split system indoor unit to filter out smoke from the neighbours wood heaters and bush fires. Works really well.

    • Why the neg votes for this comment?

  • Have to admit this is a great deal and cheapest by far if you look at the competition. Also agree that this is all they change when the aircon guy comes to your place to SERVICE the aircon :P and charge you upwards of $150. Pretty easy to do with video instructions, paypal and free shipping. Thumbs UP :D
    Just placed an order…

  • Ahhh I just ordered from Jason on Wednesday or Thursday from his ebay store!

Need some for spare? Drop me a message with your order number - I will dollar cost average down your next order to look after you.

  • The air con guy doesn't only come to change the filter. They check electrical components, refrigerant pressure, indoor unit drain clean, zone operation and most important air leakage in ducting. It's not fair to say they charge $150 - $300 for replacing the filter only. From what a tech told me the filter itself is very cheap. Works out around $4 for a 900 x 550mm but you are charging so much.

Anyone know if I can use this for my ducted gas heating air intake?

    • +1

If you PM me your email address I will send you the technical data sheet from the manufacturer.

  • Awesome offer. I work at Dry Creek, so will arrange to drop in and have it fitted for free. :)

    • +1

Sure - you have PM ability turned off, just buy the size you need on the website, slide your existing filter over our gate on your way to work and we'll drop you a message when it is ready to be collected. Or drop us an email to make a time to come down when we can do it on the spot.

  • What is the discount for more than one item?
43% or 39.7% off the total, or something else?

    • Don't get too hung up on the term discount as there is no standard pricing for this product. Keep in mind it costs between $8.15 and $14 to post out each order depending on the satchel size (clickandsend).

Here is an example of a Ozbargain transaction processed last night:

SKU Product Title Quantity Unit Price Total
      550 x 900mm Filter Media 2 $24.95 $49.90

      Basket Total $49.90
      Quantity Discount $-4.99
      Discount Coupon (ozbargain) $-16.47
      Discount $-21.46
      Sub Total $28.44

      Tax (GST (included) 10.00%) $2.59
      Total $28.44

  • PM sent regarding publicising your deal further.

      Whoever neg'd this- get bent!

I live in a recently bushfire effected region, and wanted to check that it was ok to FB the deal with other effected people.

Ash and dust tend to trash AC filters, and I thought it worth sharing.

      Thanks for the empathy.

      • +1

        Don't worry I appreciated it ;-)

  • Ordered, thanks for the deal jason101

  • This is a great price for the filters. I was in the market for one of these and never expected to find it on ozbargain.

  • Can the ozbargainer who just initiated a credit card charge back against me please check their emails - I have sent you the tracking details (as you would have also received from Aust Post originally) which shows your item as delivered to your nominated address (a parcel locker).

You might want to go collect the item rather than lodge a charge back.

  • Jason replied my email promptly and we spoke on the phone. Good advice and even a small discount. Received the item in good time, exactly as described. Very happy with the service, thanks Jason.
