  • wow that is cheap … last years stock perhaps ????

    • I think they're selling the bunnies cheap, so they can get you in-store to buy other Easter products.

      • Last year I looked into buying Lindt bunnies right after Easter (at least 50% off) and keeping them for a whole year in cool conditions until next Easter. Can't do it. The Best Before date only stretched into September. (Oops, this is a reply to one branch up in the tree).

    • +1

it's never the previous year stock.
as these items have a short shelf life because they arn't exactly air tight

even thou it's selling for $3 they'll still make something like 200% profit

i've seen bunnies costing 50c to buy from the producer and the retail store selling it for $3.50

  • Hmm, but if you really just wanted to eat Lindt chox, I think it would be cheaper to buy 100g bars, which I have seen for $2.50. You're paying more for the cute bunny shape.

    • Well, yes. Easter bunnies/eggs are usually composed of the same chocolate as used in bars, but in a 'festive' shape. But try giving a block of chocolate to a child on Easter Sunday and watch them burst into tears :-)

      • True. I haven't thrown a tantrum in years so I guess I've forgotten. lol!

  • I saw one of those gigantic Cadbury eggs at Bigw for like $30, when you could buy the equivalent amount in chocolate blocks for $6!

    Buy up big after easter!
