  • It's slightly cheaper than here, but they don't seem to have a 40% off :)

  • +3

9th Feb they were advertised on the site for $28. so comes across like the price is inflated to make this seem like a deal

  • Not an easy sell at this time of year.

  • If it had a replaceable AA battery (like the IKEA ones) I'd probably buy one.

    • Why do you need a battery if they are solar powered?

      • Because you want them to work when the sun has gone down. No sunlight = no solar power.

The battery is a rechargeable battery. It charges during the day, from the solar cell.

  • Just a note: IP44 does not mean "waterproof" in the same way that watches are considered waterproof.

IP44 means "Water splashing against the enclosure from any direction shall have no harmful effect", so rain is okay, but using a hose is not.

In a nutshell, IP5x means protected against low-pressure hose washing, IP6x will withstand high-pressure hose washing, and IP7x and up means it can withstand being put underwater to various depths for various times.

  • Ok thanks. I am sure I gave had lights without a battery before that have worked at night. Will investigate. Cheers
