Note: I did just realize that the 3XL and 5XL are currently on promotion until 31 March 2016. So if you were thinking of going with kogan you would start there.

Kogan Mobile has introduced a new unlimited standard national talk and text prepaid offer that it claims is the most affordable offer currently in the Australian market.

The new 1XL prepaid plan offers unlimited standard national talk and text and 1GB of data per 30 days of use within Australia from under $0.50 a day, when purchased on a yearly plan.

    no deal
Would be a good deal if it was 2 GB/month with 4G

Show us $14.80-$15.65/mth with 2GB? (ongoing, not one time offers for a single month)

    • +1

Wouldn't it be better if it was 3GB/month w/ 5G?
But yea - show us better then..?

  • +1

I'm going on holidays soon and normally get a discounted Telstra sim to use in my pocket modem . That only gives me 2gb, usually for around $10. I might go for a 5XL recharge for $11 just prior to the end of March which will give me 5gb for the holidays.

    Yep, 1gb is nothing!

  • Plans that cost more, give you more data. Plans that cost $14.80/month don't give you a lot of data and it doesn't make sense to expect that they will.

  • how much is an extra data pack?

  • Is this the same crowd that pulled out of the data business few years ago, leaving their customers high and dry?

    • -1

Well they refunded pro rata but blamed ispone, the telstra reseller.

    • +1

They did NOT leave customers high and dry. Their supplier went bust and they refunded everyone. I am bemused that so many people want to falsely malign this company, tall poppy syndrome?

  • Thanks OP, bought one to try out.

Is this still with Vodafone network?

Good price really. Pick up cheap data pack Sims and you can't complain really. Might move my main number to this plan.

Are they selling mobile plans or big guys' shirts?

  • deleted..wrong thread.

    30 Day Pan $16.95
    90 Day Pan $46.95 ($15.65/30 days)
    365 Day Pan $179.95 ($14.80/30 days)

    Lot's of pans on sale.

  • You could potentially have unlimited for $22 and 2gb Internet. What you have to do is buy a 2gb add on at $15 once the 1gb included has expired. Then you can use first gb on remaining month and the other gb following month. I might give it a try once my amaysim offer is over in 2 months. Then there is no need to move back and forth. I really hope they add 4g soon.
