I've had a zmodo 4 channel surveilance system installed at my house for almost a year now - works really well. Super clear etc.

  • not supported by synology :(

  • Getting one, Thanks

  • WOW!!!
According to the video it doesn't even really need power…
Just hang it on that spare wall nail you have or plonk in on a spare shelf and Bob's your uncle!

Bout time someone worked out how to wifi juice :-)

    • They didn't want to make it look ugly with a power cord hanging out.
You could power it all day with a 20W solar panel and a battery connected to a regulator though.

    • Bob's your uncle

      Is that you Dave?

      • I think it's me…
Many Daves use the term “Bob’s your uncle”.

        • no worries just wanted to say hi :)

        • Greetings from SA to WA :-)

  • With a f1.2 2.1mm lens, thats a really small sensor. I can't imagine you'll see much in low light.
Even in daylight, true 720p would be impossible. Any sample pictures available?

it doesn't even really need power…

Perfect to hang under the quadcopter!

    • What would be a good size for lens? I'm looking at getting these installed at home.

    • Nah, it uses IR like every other security cam.

    • Ooops, my bad calculation.
Its a wide-angle lens, so 2.1mm focal length is actually a decent sensor, like 6mm.
But of course, as its wide angle, you'll get less detail.

  • How is this compare to yi cctv camera?
very much the same isn't it?

    • No sir, they have huge difference, Zmodo is a popular brand from US company, the main market and service is face to the world, including the cloud service in the future.
Yi is a camera made for Chinese using, all are in Chinese version for example user manual.
Zmodo have the wide angle (115°) like a fish eye, install one in the room can view all space, but yi camera is very narrow.
Zmodo's speaker is 100% MUCH BETTER than yi camera, pick and speack the voice much more clearly.
This camera is also the smallest camera so far, not even 100g weight and it can even power by a USB ! Other camera are only rely on power adapter

      • No ONVIF according to the specs. Does that mean it can't link to BlueIris or record locally to a server?
Looks like it streams to some unknown "cloud" site in China.. That equals NO in my book..

Looks like people haven't found a way to get the 720p stream on BI or similar. Only the built in app.
        http://community.zmodo.com/t/zmodo-zm-sh75d001-wa-video-stre…

        I'd avoid based on this.

  • Any better then the Xiaomi Ants cam for around the same price?

  • As it has no mircoSD card slot, where does this record the video or photo.
And if its the cloud is that service free or paid?

  • Also anyone know if I can directly stream from other third party app like VLC?

  • Anyone know if you can view the stream over RTSP rather than using their software?

  • Hmm- I ordered one of these over 7 weeks ago. Still waiting for it. Contacted Support this week, they said to 'check with the post office', but couldn't say which one or provide a tracking number.

Orders from BG over $25 should get a tracking number, and should be listed under My Orders (or the order details). Depends who it was shipped with as to whether it would be of any use though.

      • yeah, the tracking info isn't of much use. And not sure what to make of the last entry on Jan 21…

        • Their tracking info is so rude…lol.

  • I'd also like to know if there is any way of accessing the stream apart from the app. This particular model isn't listed in this database but a bunch of other Zmodo models are there, maybe one of those settings would work?
