Hi All,
First time poster, long time subscriber. Please go easy on me, or not

Just walked into the local Dick Smith store on my lunch break and who knew they were closing down? I thought to myself that this would be a good opportunity to purchase something I had completely no use for (in true ozbargainer style), with all the discounts they are handing out. So out of all the useless stuff I found this Goal Zero Guide 10plus mobile solar recharge kit, which comes complete with:

1 x Guide 10 Battery Pack
1 x Nomad 7 Solar Panel
1 x 12V cigarette adapter
1 x AAA adapter
4 x AA Batteries

Original Price was $159 down 30% to $111.3.
Checked out a few other online stores and they sell them for ~$140-$160
I know its not the most powerful solar panel out there, and I know you guys will say hold out till Dick Smith reduce all their stock to 99% off. But for the price and when the zombie apocalypse hits in a few days we will see who's laughing and harnessing energy from the sun.

In all seriousness you could probably take this camping or something

    Add a $2 usb AA charger http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/181887024831 and you're sailing…

    • True, but this one you can strap to your pack while hiking, even the photos on the goal zero website seem to push that use. Good luck doing that with the aldi one. Different uses. One is more portable and can be used hiking, one is for a standing camp.

  • MMM no one is supposed to know about Zomday (as we now call it) for at least another 48 hours. By the way it will be 4 days before the first strains become active. Who do you work for? Which agency?
