Logitech G710+ Mechanical Gaming Keyboard $79 @ JB Hi-Fi

790

Was in Jb this arvo and saw this much loved keyboard at what I believe to be a ripper price. Couldn't find it advertised so I've uploaded a copy of my receipt. Enjoy!

  • cant see that keyboard online, is it a localised offer?

    • Not sure mate. I found it instore at the Craigieburn store in Victoria.

    • Called JB and there are 50 in stock apparently across all stores. Not any in my area but the gentleman was happy to try source one for me. He said that there should be 2 for the online store but had our issue finding it wasn't listed. Maybe just call up your local store- price is confirmed to be $79.

That is a cracking price for a cracking keyboard

I bought one long ago for $129 and loved it to bits until I moved to the G910
But this is packed away in the event my G910 dies

    Good find!

It's been cheaper OzBargain but since a now clearance item may not find it cheaper again.

My experience with this keyboard are the plastic clips that hold each key breaking with in a month, causing keys to fly off after each press, would of been 10/10 if it weren't poorly made. (Am not the only who had this issue).

    • +1

That was a pricing error though.

Maybe you werent using it properly

    • I've read about this but mine's doing well so far. It comes with o-rings so it is quicker to bottom out and doesn't make so much sound. Didn't like that too much, so I removed the o-rings (was extra gentle so to not break the keycaps!).

I am never going to put it back. I like it so much better without the o-rings.

All in all great keyboard especially @ 79

Great price for a top keyboard

    I paid $120

    • Me too. Worth at that price too.

Absolutely incredible price. I have this keyboard and loved it until the keys all started falling off. 8 broke within a year of light use, and it seems to be a common problem. Also, the paint on the keys rubs off really easily. I am in the process of returning it via a warranty claim with Logitech.

Can also vouch for sub par quality, seems to tick all the right boxes on paper but in reality not a 'quality' keyboard.

That being said $79 is a good price

I agree with the poor quality comment. Picked one up the other week and it had broken keys straight out of the box. Same failure point as everyone says - the plastic under the key cap splits.

      That said, really good price.

Same here. The stems of the keycaps which attach the keycap to the switch cracked and broke. WASD and left ctrl. Oh, and when I called Logi they told me to send the entire KB back.

The market is saturated with mech KBs now. There are far superior models. Logitech is off my list now for gaming hardware. A shame because they used to make awesome gear.

        • Also, I believe the Logitech has a non-standard bottom row, making replacement keys a challenge to get. Yeah, I'm currently looking at the Corsair K70 atm.

I'm a fan of Logitech's other ranges (mice, membrane keyboards, controllers) but their mech keyboards need some work.

    • Had one for a week and resold it. Felt cheap and the column of buttons down the left side put off my ability to find keys without looking. Bought a Corsair K70 instead and love it.

I've had mine for 6 months now, I use it for work, and quality is still ok so far touch wood.

people give Razer shit but my blackwiddow is 7 years old and still going. Won't be buying this one.

    • +1

      Good for you.

Why the negs? it's so low quality that it isn't a deal. Don't calculate the price as a once off but the price per year. Looking at the comments, it lasts about 1 year so that $79 a year.

      I bought my keyboard for $100. $100/7 = $15 a year.

Thanks mate :) Have just had one put aside at Adelaide St, Brisbane! There is supposed to be two more at MacArthur according to the chap I spoke to at Mt Ommaney (who had 0)

  • Bondi is empty, although JBHIFI have the g310 for 99, which is around 20 cheaper than elsewhere

  • +1

To save people a trip: none left in Sydney CBD, possibly 1 in North Sydney, and at most a couple at Parramatta and Marylands. Too out of the way for me to bother so maybe someone else can go get one :P

    Cheers OP.
Got one from Shepparton JB. About time I upgraded my trusty G15.

  • Got the last one at picadilly arcade Perth. Used my coke rewards as a true Ozbargainer

    • Just scans at 79

  • Pretty decent mechanical keyboard. Keep in mind, this keyboard is huge, so if you have limited desk space, you might want to look elsewhere.

  • Not a fan of the new logitech, quality and support has gone down hill.

Another comment about this being a great price for a great keyboard (typing on one now).

Thanks OP! Picked up the last one at Nunawading! I think there was stock in Altona.

  • Wow, surprised to hear about all these issues! Mine's been fine for the last 3 years. Highly recommend it.

Also vouching for sub par quality. After 2 years my 'W' key just snapped off, the mechanical switch underneath is made of cheap plastic and had just broken apart from general use. Brought it back to the store for a warranty claim (after a hefty fight with JB staff). I will say though, for $79 its a good price, plus the three year warranty is nice.

    • I believe these come with Cherry MX Blues or Browns. They're supposed to be very good in quality, but not the Keycaps though from what I've read.

      • Cherry MX Browns on the G710+. The G710 has blues but I don't know if it's stocked here in Australia

      • Yeah sorry I meant the keycaps. Had the Cherry MX Brown switches. Was great until it fell apart one morning.

  • can get it for $65.24 via JBHi-Fi Solutions

    • ordinary consumers can buy from there?

  • Got one from Cannington WA for $79 too…very happy!

  • Wonder if they have the G600 and if bought together would they reduce the price further… might check it out sometime this week.

    Thanks!

  • Finally got around to looking for this. Unfortunately out of stock at Morayfield
