Panamax Paracetamol Tablets - 100 Pack - $0.48 - Chemist Warehouse Parramatta

300

100 pack of Panamax Paracetamol

$0.48 at Chemist Warehouse, Parramatta - thanks piznarski

$1.49 at all PriceLine Pharmacies - store locator here http://www.priceline.com.au/storelocator

Based on responses to my previous post some stores have had these on special for 48c, 49c or 99c before, but $1.49 is the best price across every store of any outlet I can find at the moment.

Same active ingredient as Panadol, just cost about 80% less thanks to lower profit margin and no advertising

  • 48 cents pack of 100 at chemist warehouse! limit 2 per customer.

Again? I'm getting a headache seeing all these Panadol offers. lol!

  • I have such a splitting headache, it's as though a cargo ship is transiting through my skull :(

    • Paracetamol won't be enough then - try codeine.

      • +1

lol OTC codeine is in such a small dose that it is not therapeutically useful…
(to make it useful try using nurofen plus AND panadine extra, eg Ibuprofen with codeine AND paracetamol with codeine to get a therapeutic dose)
Also chemist chemistwarehouse often have store to store specials of 99c or 49c for packs of 100.

        • Drugs can have synergistic effects. That is to say, you can have sub-therapeutic doses for two drugs but still have a therapeutic effect when they're used together.

          • @Momotsuki: no.
Paracetamol and codeine work in VERY different ways (infact we still do not know how paracetamol works)
They can work together with different mechanisms to relieve pain in different ways but they do not affect each other (one drug making they other one work better does not happen here)

            • @garfy_w: I'm not talking about an allosteric interaction between the two drugs. They can do their own separate things but have a greater impact on the end result (i.e. the whole is greater than the sum of its parts). Other examples of this are the synergistic induction of pain due to bradykinin and PGE2.

  • Seen it for 99c many times before.

Does anyone really see this as a bargain?

Seems pretty useless unless you have headaches every day, if you do you should see your doctor anyway. :/

    • Hmm I am in pain every day due to an illness. Panadol works OK for a few weeks then I have to up it to Panadeine then hopefully have an operation.

      • Mersyndol Forte. I need it for a whiplash injury.

Good sh*t, but if you ask for it be prepared for the doc warning you about the risk of addiction.

What constitutes a bargain, something cheaper than normal, but I have to use it every day?

Lets explore that - A TV bought at $500 off but you don't watch it everyday??

I know we get a lot of marginal bargains , but not everyone visiting here is a 20 year old male wanting Xbox games and V with dominos pizza and a torrent friendly broadband connection.

Cut others some slack, otherwise they will need these tablets more LOL

  • Please consider bargain @ needs basis.

  • youd need a lot of pills to call this a bargain.

Are you trying to kill yourself?? 100 tablets???

    They prolly expire soon anyways.

    • I am dying anyway

      • Wow, depressing post of the year.

  • Did you change the deal to the $0.48 Chemist Warehouse one?
I remember seeing a Panamax Deal from Priceline and it was for $1.49.
Your link even directs to Priceline.
Are you allowed to do that?

    • -1

Are you alleging bait and switch? :)

Nothing wrong with it as he refers clearly to the original post details and doesn't waste a new deal being listed

  • Went into Chemist Warehouse today and they are $3.80 a packet …supposedly on special too… :(

  • Bought some. On the shelf sign says $3.80, but the assistant said it's $0.48.

Oh, and the expiry date for these was May 2012

  • So what actually happens if you use these past the "Use by" date?

    • +1

The people who used them are not around to say. :)

Just kidding. I would say any or all of the following:

      The drug is less effective.
There is a small chance of some adverse effects.
The manufacturer will not accept any liability for any adverse effects.
Any insurance you might have is voided with respect to any effects.
