    Personally I'd say the UX303UB is a much better version. Virtually the same but comes with 940M graphics and touchscreen.

    $1799 -> 20% discount = AU $1,439.20

    Both OP and UX303UB have free shipping.

      Is that the same as the one in eBay Group Deals? http://groupbuy.ebay.com.au/deal?itemId=231861914230

      If yes, then it's $1320 via the deal.

      • Yes, that's a great deal!

    • There does seem to be a trade off for battery life to run the dedicated GPU and the UX303UB appears to be heavier too. So I guess it depends on performance vs portability.

      vs

      Asus Zenbook UX305UA

      • The big advantage of the Zenbooks is the PCIe SSDs, for very nice speed. Both these models have that. But personally, the UA model for $1300, I'm just not sold. The UX303UB for $20 is a no-brainer. Once you're done with the laptop in 3-4 years, you can give it to a kid and it will actually play some games.

        It's 150 grams heavier, around 10% more. As for battery life, I'm not convinced. It's Optimus graphics, so whenever you want to, you can switch off the discrete card and just use the integrated graphics. The UX305UA has a slightly larger battery (57Wh vs 50 Wh). However, I was quite unclear why there would be such a large discrepancy, until I read this line of the UX303UB description:

        One final note: The battery of our review configuration already shows signs of wear at around 7 percent, which means 7 percent of the original capacity cannot be used anymore. The Zenbook should, therefore, manage slightly longer results with a healthy battery. Both the Wi-Fi and the video test results should surpass the seven-hour mark in this case.

    I'd prefer to use my note 5.

    Isn't the xps13 at $1500 better all round ultra book?

    • Yep

  • Dont you need minimum 10 items in stock to post it as a deal?

  • Lack of backlit keyboard is a killer for me. Still a good price though.
