  • Can someone help me with a dumb question?

(I have this problem with ES Free and now ES Pro.)

I have added to few files to a playlist but I cannot locate the playlist in order to play it. If I add more music to it it does recognise that the playlist exists 'somewhere'.

So if I'm in my 'music' folder, where do I find the playlists?

    Thanks.

  • Great one. Cheers!

  • Thanks for the deal - just tried it and looks ok, some good things I noticed:

    • quick response when browsing
    • built in extras that made me get rid of several apps - mass uninstaller, disk analyzer, etc.
    • the built in music player looks better than expected
    • FTP client - nice

not sure if I can replace my dropbox app with this, but will give it a go now

  • Great app. Not sure what the pro version is good for I've been using the free version for years.

  • Thanks! Had the free version previously, and for 20c it's a bargain to get the Pro. :)

  • Great deal! I have used many, and although there might be better alternatives, I still come back to this. Bargain!

Bought it for similar, years ago… never understood the hype, at all. Used it a few times, fumbling-around, did not find it helpful in any way. I've grown-up on Astro, but that's changed a lot.

Maybe Android has improved a lot, or my usage has really changed. I just don't find a need for these, anymore. Open them MAYBE once/6mths.

    …but 20c, +Vote LOL!

  • got it!! :)

  • Thanks OP! Awesome deal!

  • Got it. Thanks

  • Excellent! Thanks Op.

  • Thanks OP.

  • Purchased, thank you so much OP !

  • Any difference to the free ES File Explorer File Manager? I can't see it.

Do not know what this app does or benefits my phone…..bought it due to four hunj votes.

  • thanks, I have been using the free version for years

  • I like ES for its send-over-wifi-to-another-device-running-ES feature which is great for moving data when switching phones. Solid, MiX, and Astro don't appear to. Anyone know another file manager with a feature like that?

The feature bloat in ES is getting annoying, and a few updates ago the wifi send feature starting becoming unstable. But I did get a few years of good use out of ES after abandoning Astro for its bloat, so 20c is a no-brainer!

ES File Explorer used to be my go-to app for file operations on Android. Not any more.

    It sends data to China:
    https://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/30rg0e/can_we_have…

Has been known to send dropbox login info to China:
    http://androidforums.com/threads/es-file-explorer-privacy-se…

It used to be minimalist and quick, but has bloated over time:
    http://www.xda-developers.com/es-file-explorer-a-short-story…

I stopped using it after it started popping malware-like windows warning of security issues. The windows were disguised as Android system information. Any app that has to trick you into using it does not belong on your phone.

I haven't found an app that's as good as ES File Explorer was a few years ago, but I'm using x-plore currently.

    • they're just stupid rumours

      • Yep, feel free to take everything on the internet with a grain of salt. But I'm a long time user of ES File Explorer and the false warnings of security issues was the final straw for me.

For what it's worth, I strongly recommend you do not install this software.

  • Woo, I've used the free version for awhile. Going to support them if it is this cheap =)

What is the difference between free and the pro version?

    • Significantly less ads.

      • I have the free version, I have for years, on multiple phones and versions of Android, and have never once had an ad pop up. Confused, I am.

        • Like "recommended apps", etc etc. I clump those things as ads, because it's advertising apps that I wouldn't otherwise have known (or cared even).

        • @Oversimplified: I don't even get them, maybe I'm just lucky. With me, if something gives me ads, generally I buy the full thing, or remove it entirely, can't stand ads.

  • I bought one with Telstra credit. Thanks OP and Telstra.
Really handy in your phone when you need it.

  • I only use the free version and it does enough for me,

but it's so useful and simple and just great, that I feel obliged to recommend it to anyone in the market.

  • thanks i just buy it the other day

  • Thanks for posting this. I've bought it after using it for years, but just recently I've found that sending files via LAN copy from the phone to a networked device, be it my PC or my NAS, results in corrupted files.

It's fine sending to the phone, just not from it.

    Has anyone else experienced this?
