  • The Low End 'Road Sport' bike is $24 cheaper buying it direct from Boardman Australia via Bikeexchange https://www.bikeexchange.com.au/a/road-bikes/boardman/nsw/sy…

Unfortunately going direct wont get you the Small, Medium or Large sizes.

How do I measure myself for one of these bikes anyway?

Can of worms right there!! Depends on how serious you are, how far you intend to ride, how comfortable you want to be and how competitive (fast) you want to go. Best answer is to get a bike fit done (or get the thin teenager at the bikeshop to give you a quick fit). Ideally a test ride if you ca. Buying online use the Generic Bike Frame size calculator http://www.ebicycles.com/bicycle-tools/frame-sizer/road-bike or http://www.competitivecyclist.com/Store/catalog/fitCalculato…

Compare the results to the bike specs or bike 'geometry' from the info page for the bike model. There is normally a diagram with measurements in the 'details' section of a bike advert. Manufacturers tweak the geometry to make you sit more upright for comfort or to sit lower down for less wind drag to go faster.

Boardman bikes are supposed to run big though (ie you might need a size smaller than 'usual') but it varies from model to model.

I am 176 cm tall with an inside leg of about 31.5. I ride about a size 54 frame in general, some brands have this as a M (medium) others a L (Large) and some even have something called a M/L. i looked at one of the higher end Boardman's and their 54 was listed as a S (small). Go figure!!!

        • Thanks, looks like I'd be a after a medium in Boardman…. I think…. Time to visit a bike shop!

    • Boardman Australia and Amart has the same parent company.
