Yup, this along wih the ridiculous layout to exit out Of the complex is my biggest annoyance factors of the place
The parking is free if you're willing to walk 5-10 mins.
Think there are some decent bargains to be had. Think the missus will go crazy with the Michael Kors and Kate Spade bags…
But totally agree with the parking. Quite expensive, although it drops down to $5 per hour (cheaper than most weekday CBD spots) when you get one of their customer discount parking tickets (at the front of every store including the food places).

Every time I've gone I've paid around $12 with half price discount card, I've never stayed longer than an hour.

Very sure. Parking is $10/hour. And with discount, its $5/hour.

Perhaps you parked somewhere else that isn't really part of the DFO? You may have parked at one of the random car parks that charge higher rates.
