After you've added all the extras, this costs roughly the same as that A/A flat-bed fare I booked a week ago! But still, it's not a bad deal for those who missed that bargain.

    • What fare was that??

It's those little victories that make Ozbargain my favourite place on the internet.

Some may not want/need the extras and prefer the cheapest fare?

    Thanks for the deal.
I/We need a holiday, more than ever. Haven't had one in a LONG time.
I couldn't sell it to the mrs for $1… she wants Ireland or nothing. Tickets recently booked ;(

  • They have risen the price of VoA(Visa on Arrival) to US$35 though. However There is absolutely nothing wrong with the price of a flight ticket. Great find. Thanks for this tip, TA.

    • If you're lucky enough to have dual citizenship you might be able to use the visa waiver program and save that fee. I have UK citizenship and don't need to pay it - very handy.

      • If you're lucky enough to have an Indonesian passport not need a visa - very handy.

        • I arrived in Bali last night. Paying in Aud, it was $56 each for the VoA.

        • @DirtyBoots:

Is there still the 150k to leave?

        • @suicine94: Not sure.. Will find out Wednesday.

        • @DirtyBoots: Very much likely. Indonesia will keep anything that keep their cashflow coming.

PS: Hasn't the VoA been USD35 since many years ago? They were gonna give free entry then backflipped after realising how much money they will be losing out to

        • @John: No there isn't they scrapped the 150k to leave a while ago.

        • @dmac80:

so what's better? before where it was $25 USD and 150k or just the $35 USD?

    • They've finally waived the visa fee for Australians.

  • arrrrrrgh Brisbane always seems to cop it

Pretty cheap! Too bad none from Sydney :(

  • Hi All,

Just got a deal using PBG from Jetstar compared to the above promotional fare period. Return flight (MEL-DPS-MEL) between 22/12/2016-07/01/2017 cost about $395 plus $34 (No booking fees) and also got my 20kg checked baggage covered. Thanks TA for the post.
Compared original price from Tiger was around $542, Jetstar website was $1432, AirAsia was $931 (Booking fees and checked baggage are included).

IMHO, We should make our best endeavour to use this PBG to get the cheapest fare as we can if you're keen to fly Jetstar in your holiday.
I have no other consideration at the time of booking when choosing Jetstar.
Not a great one but really helpful (money saving!) when comparing with the same peers.

  • I booked a month ago for $500 return Virgin/Jet for last minute trip next week.

Tiger had a return flight for $99 + baggage fee, but their system wouldn't allow me to only book one way. I emailed them, and they said it wasn't in place yet. It would of been handy, hopefully they fix that issue soon.

Anyone know if Visa entry would be cheaper with an Italian/Euro password? I have one, on top of my Australian.

  • Hi Mate,

As far as I know, Italy is one of the country exempted (free) from VoA which costs $35 for 30 days stay (Cannot be extendable).
Assumption: You are an Italian passport holder.
This is only valid for tourism purposes.

  • Hahaha awesome! Yeah, I'm German born but I have an Italian passport(background).

I normally have issues tho when returning, and they check my password and it has no stamps(Happened in Greece as I entered with my Euro, but I forgot and gave them my Australia on the exit and got held up)! I might just use my Australian, I need to find my Italian and it may of expired!

  • Can anyone confirm if Jetstar price match, is also for International flights too?

I have used the Jetstar pricematch domestically numerous times, normally against tiger prices.

  • Hi,

The one I posted above was for International flights. Basically it covers both flights and holiday packages. Price beat T&C must fall within the same day/time, route, economy class only, paid ticket etc.

You might want to check further what's included about the Jetstar PBG as mentioned above (http://www.jetstar.com/au/en/what-we-offer/our-guarantees/pr…)
