Action Air Crocodile Inflatable Water Slide and Pool $209.30 (down from $299) @ Target

60

This is a great inflatable water slide for the kids to use on hot days in the backyard, very easy to set up, and the kids love it. I bought mine for a group of kids to use in summer at full price $299 (which I thought was good value still). It's now down to $209.30 which I think is a pretty good deal. The reviews on the target website from parents/grandparents are also very positive, some saying their kids have had hours of fun with it each time. Have a read of their comments. Just bear in mind that the pictures of the kids using the slides appear to be photoshopped on, presumably to make the slide bigger than what it is. Probably best for children up to primary school age and I would probably ensure that a max of 3 kids are on the slide at the one time. There may be some more 'summer' days left to make use of this on the weekends. Additional tip for purchasers - allow enough 'daylight' hours to get the slide dry before you pack it away so that it doesn't go mouldy!

*Edit: there's a small drain hole to release the water from the pool. Rather than having the slide dry naturally in the sun, you may want to speed up the process by using towels etc.

At the top of the slide is the area open or does it have mesh. Just worried about my little 1 falling off

Very good question to check out properly before your purchase. The slide is packed up at the moment, so I've looked at some photos I took of the slide in action. It does seem to have some meshy/material at least on one side (back), but definitely not the side where you climb up - and the material would not be hugely supportive nor a real barrier I'd say.

'pictures of the kids using the slides appear to be photoshopped on', I've had this problem a few times with the Kmart stuff, massive in the photos and Barbie size when you open it. .

  • Plus vote for the informative description. It seems like a good deal to me!

  • Does the water rely on hose pressure alone? Or is it also pumped?

(We've got pretty low mains pressure)

Also…how big is the box, once packed away?

    Cheers

    • I'm not very technical at all, but there are 2 connections the slide has connected, whilst the slide is being used:
      1. Electricity main (generates the continuous air flow to keep the slide inflated) - its connected to something called a blower.
      2. Hose

I'm not too sure how the water gets to the top of the slide / and around…but there are some plastic tubes that are fitted around the perimeters of the slide…

Here's a video that shows what appears to be a similar product

In regards to the size of the item once packed away: firstly, I don't you will be able to fit the slide back inside the box as well as the blower (we couldn't). They supply a bag (with handles) for you to presumably store the slide in. We did that, and put the blower in the box. The final size of the slide from memory is longer than the box dimensions (probably similar / big bigger than the blue bag shown in the video )

  • I'm a fan of the hilariously bad photoshopping. Seems like the thing to do for advertising slides and pool toys.

  • Size: 3.5 x 3 x 2.3m
