High Pressure Washer 2200W - with 10M Wheeling Hose $139 @ ALDI

220

Not a bad pressure washer for this price, 10M wheel hose is a plus and many of the cheap washer does not come with hose and 10 meters

2100 psi is not generous but for this price it is acceptable for me.

Flow rate: 450L/h
Maximum pressure: 150bar/2100psi
Spray lance with pressure regulator
Integrated detergent tank
Large wheels for easy transport
Includes 500ml all-purpose detergent

With three years warranty it is worth to get

If you live in an area with relatively high water pressure (e.g. Bayside, Melbourne), and you're a complete tight arse :), you may be able to get away with just buying the high-pressure hose attachment (also available at Aldi, about $15)

    pic

I used this on our walkway and the car, it certainly does a "good enough" job for these basic tasks.

wow, how many ways do I have to qualify my recommendation to stop someone feeling the need to point out that it's not the same as a real pressure washer?

        • +3

          No the same tho… ;)

      • You wash your engine bay with a pressure washer?

  • Looks good, only unknown is if it's metal or plastic pump.

Pressure wise 2100 psi for the price is great, much cheaper than Karcher or gerni to get same psi.

    • +1

what is the different metal or plastic pump? more durable? It has three years warranty so it should be fine.

      • +1

Yes, big difference. Metal pumps are much more durable and can handle the increased stress from higher presseures. Pretty much all of the more expensive washers have one. A plastic pump might last 3 years (or just until your warranty expires) but if you want something to last 5y+ go for a metal pump.

        • +1

Great, than need to spend more on the pressure washer last for 5+ year.

I have got two pressure washer before bought about $350 5 years warranty matel pump, both of them went back for refund at the spray gun leak instead of the pump broke.

So I would prefer this and try if it fail return and buy anther one.

        • @LoveBargain15: Sure. Go for it. It may even have a metal pump. We don't know at this stage.
What brand were the two washers that broke?

        • +1

          @stuckster:
AR Blue Clean 380 plus from Masters, after two fail in 3 years time I now still looking for something else to try.

        • @LoveBargain15:
Hmm, I don't know about the AR Blue Clean machines but I'd generally stick with Karcher or Gerni at a consumer level. Lots of cheapos on Ebay, dolled up to look like better quality brands.

        • @stuckster:

Karcher uses a plastic pump while gerni uses a metal one.

    • Have you contacted Aldi to ask?

      • I've send a note to Aldi customer service. Will let you know if/when I hear back.

  • I am interested in the 'High Pressure Surface Cleaner Accessory' for $40 as I already have a pressure washer. Does anyone know if the connections are universal for these things?

    • +2

It says in the product description

Universal attachment for use with most high pressure cleaners

So you should be fine. Otherwise ALDI has an amazing returns policy.

    • +2

60 days refund no question asked. I dont know if there is another store with better return policy LoL

  • How's the quality of this thing compared to others that are available on the market?

    • +2

I think this is new for ALDI need to wait and see it on Saturday.

  • +2

From memory, Aldi had it back in 2013 and some customers complained it died about 20 mins of use. Others were OK with it. The most common issues were that these units are normally noisier than their branded counterparts.

Again, you have 3 years of warranty, and 60 days to play with it before sending it back. Aldi & Costco has always been great with their return policy.

I'm going to get one as my smaller karcher unit is pretty useless to wash my car now :)

    • +1

I thought they had them every year TBH. I bought one a few years ago and it died halfway through cleaning the driveway - failed pump. Returned to aldi no hassle at all, but after that experience I decided to invest in a more robust machine.

  • Hose on a reel and 10m at that…. BARGAIN. I bought the bargain gerni for $50 … but the hose was piddly, so I just bought an 8m hose for another $50… and would gladly pay $40 for an onboard reel to keep it all tidy as its a bit of a mess to wrangle while getting out and putting away! See you on saturday…. going to return the hose and the gerni's headed to eBay.

  • 1670 psi Gerni with "aluminium pump" is only $129 at Supercheap (normally $149). Only 5m hose though.

  • +1

Masters has one for $99 here Which one is better?

    • Masters vs Aldi
      1885 psi vs 2100psi
5 metre water pressure hose vs 10 Meters Wheel Hose
1 year warranty vs 3 years warranty
      $99 vs $139

      • Thanks Love - I'm sold on the specs of the Aldi, but was hoping to determine the quality of the pumps on either. 3 years is a good warranty period for Workzone, but if having to go back and forth in light of shit build quality versus the Masters one, for me this would be the deal breaker.

      • The masters one has a 2 year warranty not 1 year.

  • What happens after saturday? Is the stock price raised or taken away?

    • The price is usually dropped about 3 weeks after the catalogue. That is if they still have stock. From what I saw today, they're all gone, and most of them sold out in the first few minutes on sat morning.

      • Do you like the pressure washer?

  • I took a close look at the packaging and it turns out this pressure cleaner has a nominal pressure is only 1600PSI.
Maximum pressure has been quoted on the ALDI advertising.

Any clues how max and nominal pressure values would impact performance. (e.g. when and how long can it operate at max pressure or is this one of the "unknowns" with every unit on the market)
