Saw this in our local Bunnings, checked web price and it's same. Not sure what's the normal price. I saw an old deal posted on OzB at the same price, so I guess it's a deal.

Any good for washing an SUV? I'm looking for a home setup
More than good. Have had one for years. Just make sure you use the correct spray lance (one with round nozzle) as it has variable output. The other lance with dirt blaster might strip the paint.
Thanks very much 🙏
buy a bend wand fits Karcher, it gives better angle and more comfort for car wash.
Does anyone elses Karchers make a crying/ yelping/ whimpering sound when you let go of the trigger? It's like the Karcher is saddened when you stop using it 🥺
I had an Ozito that made the noise as you described, now i am with Karcher K2 and there is no such noise.
That's interesting. Because I also have an ozito but it doesn't make that noise.
Do we still get Gerni because of the metal impeller? And these are plastic
Yep Gerni or Bosch both metal/alloy pumps
And yet the karchers seem to get consistently higher user ratings on the Bunnings reviews…
I think the whole "metal impeller" thing is overblown at this end of the pressure washer market, if you are going to be using it for car/bike washing and the odd cleaning of a deck or something then it doesn't seem to matter at all.
Anecdotally I have had the most basic model Karcher that my dad picked up at a dump store for $2 for the last 4 years (dunno exactly how old it is) and it's washed cars and cleaned our deck every now and then just fine. I thought for sure when my wife was cleaning the deck with it that would be the end of it as she was smashing it at 100% duty cycle for a good 20 mins or so. I'm pretty sure these things aren't "rated" to run for more than 1 min at a time or something… It survived though.
Yeah, I agree with you. For general home use, the so called models with the plastic pump is good enough.
I've had the K2.400 purchased in 2014. I've used it to clean the balcony and car on a regular basis (at least once a month) and it has lasted. It's still working today. The good thing about the older models is that it's a straight M22 15mm outlet so I can replace it and use a non-karcher hose and wand. It looks like the newer lower end models, this is now one plastic piece that you can't detach and use adapters.
As with all pressure washers, best to press the trigger first to let out air before turning it on and emptying the remaining water as best as you can by tilting it back and forth before putting it away for storage.
Seeing this is giving me PTSD.
I just spent 4 hours jet washing my driveway this afternoon, I'm in so much painSounds like you were under…pressure also
He was under the pump
Now he is feeling a bit washed up
Have you tried a patio attachment? Was a game changer for us. Normal spray nozzle was like colouring in an A4 sheet with a pen.
As I learnt recently, surface cleaner and some Sodium Hypochlorite (SH) - not necessarily in that order. But seems to be how the professionals do it. I'm just a home owner watching You Tube videos like SMOUT. Also, higher water flow means reduced time it takes.
i have the ozito, been using it almost a year now and it's still working perfectly fine no issue at all, my workplace has the karcer not sure whether same type or version with this one or not because it's rusty and looks old but works same like ozito that i have.
ozito 100% for casual stuff. No need to spend anymore.

Anyone got any thoughts compared to this?
Slightly less power, less dollars too.I don't know what difference is, but this one looks like having more accessories than that, and is also $159 at Bunnings (in-store only)

Thoughts on whether this would be powerful enough to clean serious green algae growth off backyard concrete? Or would I be better off to hire a more serious petrol unit for an afternoon?
Sodium Hypochlorite (SH) / bleach would do the job. Check out You Tube videos for tips.
I posted the HR version of this it's about $190 via Costco Doordash if anyone's interested. Piece of mind warranty through Costco at least and you get an extra wand hose reel for a few more dollars and some shampoo / deck cleaner to start. The hose reel is a game changer, can't see me buying without one.
We may get another price drop on pressure washers when Bunnings price matches Aldi on the 20th september

Can someone confirm the rrp?
I believe this is the k3 naked?
