Should be pointed out that the imacs are not current models. (current models have 21.5 and 27" screens).

    • yep….agree.

  • making way for new macbook models??

2ghz macbook pro model and 2.13ghz macbook
…i don't know..it seems cheap but then again when you look at all the cheap laptops that make it on this site for like 500-600 they have similar specs

    • Yes…but there's really no comparison between a PC and a Mac :o)

      • -1

yeah it's hard to compare over priced stuff to cheapo items.

        two extremes! hehe

      • Yeah, Mac stuff came with MacHalo(TM). :) They are so sexy.

Must Resist … Must wait for Ipad v2…Just 24 months to go. :(

        • iPad? HA!

          • @insertusernamehere: Ok all above take your Mac Pc wargames elsewhere its off topic and will be deleted if you continue. Try Whirlpool… You never convince anyone to change their views and its just wastes bandwidth…

            • @[Deactivated]: hardly wargames, im a mac and pc user, simply stating the iPad sucks.

@insertusernamehere: enough!!1 but be a little smarter - how the hell do we know what type of user you are from iPad HA?. 2nd this thread has nothing to do with the iPad. And I use an IBM 7000 with my 10 kids and I'm aged 13and want 112 iPad's - so what? - it's off topic - no more

  • The MB466 is a MacBook, not a Macbook Pro (according to MacTracker).

    • yeah that isn't a pro. pro has speaker dots next to the keyboard, thats the first generation 'aluminum' macbook, that is out of make.

Considering Myer have in their national catalog the Macbook 2.26ghz MC207X/a for $1199 (which is $100 off rrp 1299, that's available at all stores that sell the Mac, if this is a 2.13ghz Macbook model, something doesn't seem right.

    MB466
    2.0 Ghz
    2 Gb RAM
    160 Gb HDD

    MC240
    2.13 Ghz
    2 Gb RAM
    160 Gb HDD

    • So the MC240 is the old model anyway?

  • when is the sale end?

    • The catalog sale is Monday 26th April (or until sold out)

  • If i just bought a macbook for $1,200 from Myer miranda just a few days ago, can i return it and get the $990 one from the city store instead?

    • You can try. Although i don't think Myer accepts returns once the unit is opened (could be wrong though).

      • still in the box. sealed.

        • give it a try.

        • buy the new one before returning the old one though (just to make sure it's available)

          • +2

@STEVEOO6: Return and buy from the same store would be the better idea.

            • @atlas: only available at the Sydney City Store so that's not possible.

              • @[Deactivated]: you can return a myer item at any myer store

              • @[Deactivated]: I meant return old model to the Sydney City store and buy new one on the spot.

                • @atlas: went there today. there was no such sign. i presume it sold out.

  • You can always return electronics to myer. If it's open you need to find an excuse (like noisy, too hot etc). If it's sealed no worries at all.

  • I can confirm the MB466 is indeed a 15" Macbook Pro. Almost bought it but…

    • no warranty: the salesperson states the Apple warranty starts when they take delivery of the machine and display it as a demo.
    • there is only the display machine left at that price.
    • it has been repaired at least once previously.

Specs - 2.6Ghz C2D, 2Gb RAM, 9400GT video card (didn't ask if it's got the 9600 as well) 160Gb hard drive and glossy LCD screen. Good buy if you don't mind to run the risk with no warranty or you can opt to buy the Myer warranty.

  • A good way to check the full specs: go to http://www.appleserialnumberinfo.com/ and enter the serial number. I'm sure they have internet connection in myer store.

To check serial number: click apple on the top left, about this mac, and click on the "version 10.6" text twice.
