    • Every time i click on checkout from that cworld deal i get a 404 file or directory not found error. I think that their server is stuffed.

    • Where is the instruction video mentioned on the eBay listing? I don't see a link.

  • Does the toner work out cheaper then ink per page?

    • Doesn't that depend on the coverage of ink used and the price of paper?
Do you mean to ask if the refill is better value or uses more ink than what a standard toner uses?

    • +6

I am assuming you mean the difference between laser toner vs Inkjet ink.

Toner doesn't dry out, requiring the heads to be purged, cleaned, etc every time you print. So the cost per page over (say) a year is absolutely heaps less.

    • I've done one refill on mine and already halfway towards another. It's a great printer.

Bought this from the cworld deal just a couple of months ago. Happy so far

  • Hi guys
I have this printer from C-world to print uni final paper(for my daughter) in May last year. That is a good printer and the sale rep was very helpful. I use it connect with USB cable only. I still can not connect it with wireless. Even contact Ricoh help desk last year. I give up finally. Recently I try connect it with the wireless repeater plus with the network cable, it work with no problem, but I still do not know how (the correct setting form the on board menu) to connect it wireless with my modem router or with smartphone to print. Any one can help me on this here ? Thanks.

you have to manually add wifi ssid settings to printer. Either from printer button menus or web configuration page(type ip of printer in web browser).

        Yep.
25 computer & gadget experience, but I've still had no luck getting it to work… after several fresh attempts. I'm never going to use it, so I've just lived without that feature.

Still VERRRRY impressed. Got mine for $50 (after codes/deals/coupons) from eBay.

        • For me it worked on first attempt itself. I used the printer buttons to add wifi. As you mentioned your printer seems connected via LAN cable so you easily browse the printer config page and add wireless settings. Also one more thing, some routers/repeaters blocks traffic between devices. Make sure our firewall settings on modem.

        • @samsung: I typo'd. "25 years".
I was trying wifi by buttons. Just been connected by usb. I'd have to run another hub/switch locally, to use LAN. Cheap, easy, will do that. Actually never played-around since first setup. Just been printing hundreds of beautiful, cheap pages. Looking into toner refills, for mine & now friends (just bought them). I always swore I'd never do toner refills again. Nasty, messy stuff! But it's worth it for these.

        • @Utopian: refill or another printer😊. printer seems cheaper than eaby refills kits.

        • @samsung: But refill kits give 2.5x more prints, at least, than starter carts. The bigger the kit, much better value

        • @Utopian: good info,I will look forward to a ebay site wide off.👍

@samsung: Not that it helps, but I found this very interesting… This printer, brand-new 3 yr warranty but without starter carts: $45 delivered

Very interesting from a business/pricing point of view… but I think I'd rather pay for the carts. That's (unfortunately, CRAZILY) what's worth money.

        • @Utopian: Any deal for starter carts only? for $50? It might be a good deal for us..Interesting finding anyway.👍
