Looks like you've posted this multiple times in the past; fail to see how this constitutes a "bargain or deal".

  • +1

Bought one in the last "Bargain" and have to admit it still sits brand new in the car glove compartment.

  • Seems like normal price.

    • The prices on eBay are much lower

      • Explains perhaps his username; he's just trying to make a million dollars of profit here on OzBargain. Fair dinkum!

        • haha outcome or intention doesn't justify the means

Mine is in my pocket now - the 6 slots are full and its still looking in great condition

  • I like it without the guitar pick, but would love for it to have an ID slot.

Not sure if I will buy, 6 cards …

Also, in the past it has been at most $20 shipped. (Lowest at $17.50 shipped)

I'd imagine this would just go in an envelope.

How can it cost $5 to ship?

    • when was the last time you posted something..$5.00 sounds reasonable to me.

      • Larger envelopes are around $1.20 Australia-wide

    • They do come with a box though to be fair. Would you consider a product decent if it comes in a plastic bag in a plain envelope?

      • yes, less packaging saves the environment, and savings can be passed to the customer. also packaging doesn't make the product any better or worse.

  • For those that use these as wallets, can you fold notes of money into it without it looking weird?

Also, can anyone recommend any other brands that are of high quality?

I really wanted to buy this trickers leather card holder to use as a wallet but I need more than just one pocket.

Plastic money is always going to crease when you fold it, you should look for a $100 bill length-sized that keeps it straight.

High quality is by the stitching. Double stitched makes it bigger, so single stitched is enough. You can find them on eBay for <$5, just make sure you get a buckled one to keep the cards from falling out. Also buy some RFID sleeves because there's no protection against people using devices to steal money from the paywave feature.

      • I was more interested in the quality of the leather. For instance, that trickers card holder is calf leather and uncorrected grain (i.e. unblemished).

Regarding the note - I don't care all that much for creases on the notes themselves. I was more interested in if the note fits neatly into the wallet (i.e. is the depth of the pockets sufficient to keep the note inside without the note protruding out further than the wallet itself).

Scrap leather is used, otherwise animal slaughter to use the best hides is both environmentally unsustainable, and cruel. The boutique brands are notorious for environmental resource wasting practices. Hard for those consumers to have a good conscience. I wouldn't accept one to contribute to its market, and I'm not even vegan

        • @Entropist: Um what? Environmentally unsustainable, and cruel practices are employed regardless of what leather you buy. Even buying scrap leather contributes to this.

Some high end companies may choose to buy leather from cows that are better taken care of (i.e. Rolls Royce use cows that are kept away from barbed wire fences) but in the end, buying scrap leather or buying the best leather on earth both contribute to the death of a cow.

        • @datzed: exactly! so you can see the limitation to wanting high and higher quality leather for small goods, when only scrap leather would be feasible. to expect high quality leather is to go to luxury items that are animal cruel, and environmentally unsustainable.

keeping cows away from barbed wire only protects the leather. however you treat a cow, the better means more land used, more water used, more feed used, the more impact to the environment. the solution is to decrease the market of leather by use of other materials so less animals are used for leather. meaning only leather comes from the hide of animals consumed for food.

I bought the Bellroy Slim Sleeve a few months ago when Surfstitch had a 30% off sale and I love it. A bit pricey if you're used to el cheapo wallets but no regrets for me.

      • +1 on Bellroy. Great wallets!

I have one of these. Its definitely great quality.
Granted, I did pay $17.50 though so it's been a bit cheaper before.

I bought mine from one of the original deals for this offer and it still looks brand new after ~1 year. The notes fit perfectly when folded in half and it is definitely deep enough to have your notes fully in the wallet (or you can choose to have it slightly out so it's easier to get your notes). I use mine with all 6 card slots filled and they fit nicely, not too difficult to get cards out.
