    Might consider getting this.

    • Cheers OP. Can confirm that the price is indeed $69.50. Got 2 from NSW Parramatta Westfields. 1 left now.

  • Plenty (>10) in Northland this afternoon

  • its a good mouse been using one for past couple of months as a replacement for my MX Master

    • +5

So your MX Master died and then you bought another one?

      • Maybe he meant he replaced his MX Revolution (M950t) with the MX Master?

    • +5

Awesome. So you are replacing your MX master with another MX master.

      • -2

        why not? it's on sale…

    • +2

      its a good mouse

Hmm .. if it is a good mouse why you replaced it?

    • -1

A bunch of comedians here. I suspect he means he replaced another mouse with this - probably an MX Revo.

    • +5

D4 damager, power to the people. Back once again for the mx master?

  • Just bought one from the last eBay deal for $79ish… :(

  • I got the combo for $99 at jb on sale last year

  • Can anyone confirm if 50% Logitech mice is available in sydney, I checked today, but they were still 40% off

    • Did you scan it or just look at the signs?

      • I just go to the counter and ask for a price check, saves time, ive been waiting to get a 303 for 3 weeks.

        • Yeah best way.

  • I think all logitech gear is still @ 40%

    • I saw some Logitech laptop mouse with red dot on it which means 70% off.

      • Red Dots are now 75% off (since this morning).

    • Logitech in the Gaming category is now 40% (up from 30%).
Mice and keyboards (including Logitech) outside the Gaming category are now 50% off, including the mouse in OP (up from 40%).

    • I bought a MK710 combo this morning at 50% off ($74.50). The shop was still showing 40%, but it scanned at 50% (as per the website this morning). Not much Logitech stock left at the shops I went to.

  • Damn good mouse and Logitech support is excellent so no need to stress about DSE going under

    • Indeed they are once you get passed answering the same questions 3 or 4 times the disassembly and photographic proof, then they just send a new one.

Asked for a new set of cups for my G35 headphones .. sent me a new pair.. wireless died on my G700s sent another one… other still works fine wired. thats my experience so far

      • Fortunately I haven't been put through the nth degree

        • No I meant they are great but I do give every relevant detail in my original RMA email and they ask for it each time they respond must just be automated responses on their process flowchart … that's all.

Cant complain getting a brand new one in the box instead of having to send back wait a month pay for an inspection like some vendors. Adata asking me to send a memory card back to Japan even though I purchased from MSY… sandisk were great for couple of memory cards even allowed me to drill a hole through the middle so my data was not retrievable (phone memory cards so plenty of private app data etc)

        • @akoli: Really never heard of a manufacturer allowing you to destroy your data like that. That is awesome. I will definitely favour Sandisk in the future!

Logitech support for the MX Master has been horrible.

The MX Master launched with severely crippled software which made the mouse almost unusable, and it took ~6 months of people complaining to Logitech before they resolved part of the issue.

I had my MX Master gathering dust for months because of how bad their support was.

      https://forums.logitech.com/t5/Mice-and-Pointing-Devices/MX-…

To this day they still haven't added the ability to change or disable the 'mouse pointer acceleration', so it's still a crippled piece of software compared to every other mouse they have released.

That said, I really like my MX Master - but if my MX Revolutions could hold a charge for more than 2 days and I could get replacement rubber thumb grips which wore away after a decade of use, then I would still be using that over the MX Master as the MX Revolution is a superior mouse in almost ever aspect.

You are right about their warranty services though. I had a set of Z-5400 speakers die on me. Logitech paid for the shipping back to their warehouse to test it out - found it was dead - and sent me a new set of Z-5500's which were considerably more expensive than the Z-5400s at the time. The whole process took about a week.

I've had the MX Master at work since launch, never had an issue, ever.

        • Would you also say a colour TV works fine if it only played in black and white, if all you wanted to watch was black and white shows?

That's fine you just wanted to use your mouse without application specific settings, as I linked above there's ~10 pages of angry buyers who pressured Logitech over 6 months into fixing at least one of the issues with the mouse which made it unusable for a lot of people.

I don't see why you needed to interject saying that your product was fine without issue when you didn't even know what the issue was.

        • -1

@c0balt: "the issue" you have is yours, as other might have. There is no reason others can't pop in and share their experience.

        • -1

          @Macrat:

No, it's not my issue. Every MX Master mouse had it.

Logitech Options is a crippled piece of software compared to Logitech Setpoint. You can have a read through the link I provided for clarification.

To reply to my comment with the known issues with 'I've never had any issue' is not a constructive comment. It reminds me of when people have problems with their Macbook/iMac/iDevice and try to get help in the Apple forums - only to have people say 'well I don't use that function so I don't have any issue'. Just don't reply to the guy with the issue saying there's no issue when there clearly is.

        • @c0balt: Well, to be specific, from the start I installed the Logitech software and customised the buttons as I usually do and do not have any acceleration enabled. Is that better for you?

        • @Mechz:

You never customised the buttons to be different per application. You customised them to have global actions for every application. Application specific settings took 6+ months of people complaining in the forum to be added to Logitech Options.

You do have mouse pointer acceleration enabled. Mouse pointer acceleration can not be increased, decreased or disabled with the current and all previous versions of Logitech Options. It could be with Logitech Setpoint which was what Logitech used for all their other high end mice previous to the MX Master and MX Anywhere 2.

Again, if you would just read the link I posted it's all there from Logitech Support workers to end users, the discussion over 6 months to get application specific settings added to Logitech Options.

Here are the documented issues with the mouse from the Logitech forums.

Application Specific Settings (took 6 months to be fixed):

          Pointer Acceleration (still an issue):
          https://forums.logitech.com/t5/Mice-and-Pointing-Devices/MX-…

          Bluetooth problems (still an issue):

      • +1 for me too.

I bought one of these for my work and used it for about 2 weeks, roughly 10 hours per day. It was so great I bought another for home. So i've had two of them for around 6 months and they get a hell of a lot of use with me working in IT.

I've had no issues with them at all. My only concern was that the batteries may not last long, but they still last around 6 - 8 weeks before needing a charge. You can still work while they are charging and then you just leave it over night.

        Best mouse I've ever had.

        • Your new to this site so I should probably point out that we don't say '+1', we actually click the +1 button so that you upvote the deal. As is you have not actually given the deal a +1 until you click on the green '+' icon in the top left of the page. Once you do so there will be a green + icon next to your name when you comment in the thread you upvoted.

Logitech themselves advertised 40 days with 6 hours of light use per day, and you say you get 42-56 days with 10 hours of use per day?

Funny, I use mine about 10-16 hours per day also and like everyone else beside you - I get around a week to 2 weeks battery life.

          https://forums.logitech.com/t5/Mice-and-Pointing-Devices/MX-…

      • I've always used X-Mouse Button Control for my per application button customisations (initially because I didn't want to install SetPoint just to use tilt left/right on another Logitech mouse).

      • as the MX Revolution is a superior mouse in almost ever aspect.

I've got 2 of these, what makes you say it is?

        • +1

I also own 2 MX Revolutions.

I made a topic about 6 months back on the issue.
          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/205983

I'd like to add that the thumb grip rubber is wearing away much faster on the MX Master than it did on my Revolutions. I haven't even had it a year and the pattern has just started to be worn away and it's about to begin exposing the plastic under the rubber already. That took many years to happen to my Revolutions, but about 6 months for it to happen to the Master.

The point where my index finger clicks the left mouse button has worn away slightly leaving a shiny patch. The MX Revolution used plastic on the buttons which were not affected by friction, heat and/or sweat.

Also there is the issue with Logitech Options still being a gimped version of Setpoint and not being able to change pointer acceleration.

Basically I don't think the MX Master costed Logitech as much money to make, or time invested into R&D as the Revolution. I think the MX Revolution was a superior product when it came out - and if Logitech re-released the Revolution with a long lasting battery, micro receiver, bluetooth connectivity (which I haven't used yet) and able to use+charge at the same time, then the Revolution would be a superior product to the MX Master in every way possible.

  • What I like about this mouse is Darkfield technology. It really works well on glass tables!

  • Just grabbed Logitech 933 for $198 in Dick Smith, cheapest I could find in staticice is $221.
Its the last one in George St store near Myers.

    • The headset is rubbish. Should have got a g35 or g930.

      • I use the G933 I reckon they're pretty good. No drop outs, no disconnects, excellent range. The mesh ear cups are nicer than the faux leather on the G930 imo. Wish it still came with a charging dock though.

  • Is there any MX Anywhere 2?

    • +1

I'm sure you can find MX Somewhere :)

    • Highpoint, Vic has a heap of them.

  • 3 x MX Master and 14 x MX Anywhere 2 @ Miranda NSW

Do you know how much they are selling for the MX Anywhere 2?

      • +1

$60. I picked one up from the Bourke/Swanston St store in Melbourne this afternoon (24/03). They had 2 left at the time (there were 8 yesterday 23/03).

EDIT: Southland had a decent sized quantity still last weekend when I was there as well, but they weren't a bargain then so didn't take that much notice.

  • most of DS's bargains aint that good

  • I have got one, REALLY GOOD!

  • Plenty on the shelf at Logan Central when I left at 5:50 this evening - I already have two, which, according to the wife, is enough.

  • I got like 7 different mouse at home probably I'll pass…

    • Ok, can't resist bought one, local dicky at ingle farm have 3 left on the shelf at the moment.

  • Great price. I can confirm Westfield garden city (Brisbane) has two left at the time of me writing this.

  • Any luck trying to get this price match at JB?

Just letting you guys know that this mouse has known issues with Bluetooth connection on MacBooks. I've got one and it is painful.

    • Agree. You need to use it via the supplied usb dongle. I've use it every so often on Bluetooth when my macbook USBs are full and the mouse response is jumpy.

    • I'm using it on my MacBook Air and I'm having no troubles at all. Maybe you need to update the firmware?

    • I have issues where the mouse doesn't stayed paired, and sometimes it goes jumpy - still usable though. And still worth saving a spare USB slot for, haha.

  • I picked it up tonight at the Dandenong (melb) store, there were 4 mice left after my purchase. Thanks op

  • Picked one up myself at Nunawading store this arvo. only 1 left but plenty of MX Anywhere 2 mouse for $59. (maybe $59.90)

  • I've got that forgot-the-name-blue-thumb-trackball mouse, is it worth moving to this?

  • Anyone know if this can be run properly without the Logitech software? Not allowed to have it installed at work

    • Should run fine. The software is only useful when you need to tweak your buttons functionality.

  • If anyone sees some Anywhere 2 mice, could you let us know. TIA.

    • There are about 6 x Anywhere 2 mice in Bondi Junction for $60. They are in a separate section of the store - the "gaming" section. No MX Masters. Just 1 x G300, I think.

  • Saw 5 in stock at Mackay Caneland store.. Just picked one up. Thanks OP

  • guys i don't need this is if i have 2 perfectly working MX revolutions right?

  • Scored one in Dandenong this morning. One other left on the shelf. Looks like there's still a few floating around.

  • Got one at DSE fairfield. One more mx master left and plenty of anywhere 2's…

  • Saw about 4 left at DSE Erina and lots of Anywhere 2's

  • scored one in bunbury. there was 3 left when i purchased mine.

  • Got one from mt ommaney in Brisbane they still had 2 there on shelf if anyone is interested.

  • Picked up one at Greensborough. There was one more in the cabinet.

  • +1

It is now down to $55.60 as of today

    • As expected I guess. And it'll be $40.80 if there's any left after the 6th
