  • T.T paid $450 in January and I thought that was a good deal.,…

  • Back in stock!

  • +1

After buying this I just received a message from Kogan (via eBay) telling me that I missed out on this deal. I have already paid.

    • You missed out on the deal bro

    • when did you place your order?

  • Anyone received theirs yet?

  • Ordered my i6700k on 26th March. It got posted just today :/

    This is the tracking number:99700160A7Y104328301022902518

It makes no sense to any tracking system i can find…. does anyone recognise it ? any ideas ?

      • He's having the same issue as I am now: Kogan has provided a tracking number with Auspost but with no update to it whatsoever…it just stays as "Shipping information approved by Australia Post" forever. This means that Auspost hasn't yet received the consignment from Kogan yet.

I would speculate Kogan has hired some cheap international freight to transport them in bulk from overseas to Oz and then they use Auspost to distribute them. There's nothing wrong with this strategy but their tracking number is not helpful at all since most of the time the delivery cost took place offshore.

        • I have the same style tracking number.

It looks like they are using a reverse logistics company in Sydney for fulfillment or something. Mine goes like this:
31st March - shipping information approved
5th April - processed through facility (in transit)
6th April - out for delivery

So I would imagine you have about 5 days before shipping info shows up. That would be a little over the time for a consignment to make it to AU via air and clear customs as I've seen in the past with Kogan items (albeit via TOLL).

        • @klownz:
lol I received notification from Auspost that the consignment is on their hands now, at around 10pm last night. Well I still think they should let us know the progress with the reverse logistics company somehow otherwise the tracking number they provided with Auspost is useless and most of the time the consignment is in limbo. All of Kogan service team members failed to explain the existence of this logistics company to me clearly probably because they have no idea what's going on as well.

          @pookie:
Looks like there are ~5 days time window before the consignment is received at Auspost. I would daresay you'll likely see some updates before 9th.

We should probably make a post on Ozbargain just to soothe people that it is normal that some period of time before seeing updates is normal on auspost site. As a first time buyer I was tempted to return and cancel this item straight away without seeing any updates with my tracking number.

  • ok AusPost tried to deliver my i7 6700K from Kogan today but I wasn't at home and have to pick it up tomorrow at my local AusPost………..order placed on the 25 of March, delivery from HK.

I'm happy with the time it took

PS. I only paid $366.70, cash rewards is your friend

    • Such a good price.

Shame about the wait but I'm happy too.

  • All good now :) Kogan sent me a reply to my tracking enquiry, very apologetic for the drama. Item arrived soon after. No further issues :)

Cheers for everyones comments and help
