+1 Thanks OP. They really should do these giveaways for mass effect as well

Still waiting on the Origin Spring Sale so I can score Dragon Age: Inquisition GOTY for cheap.

    • Origin access is only $7 a month, only includes the deluxe edition though

    • Is it really Origin? When I downloaded these from the BioWare site years ago, they were just zip files (or similar) which you just needed to extract to your Dragon Age data folder. I'd imagine that would work just fine for DA: Origins on Steam.

Does this include the base game or its just the DLC?

    • +4

Just the items, no base game.

      • Thanks mate

  • Cheers OP. Have a great easter!

Damn! I paid USD$2.50 in the 2012 Steam Winter sale. Bloody hell.

  • Am I missing something, or does this not add the content to your Origin account?

    • Well, it should. I am not sure if it does if you do not have the base game (as I cannot test that) but from previous posts it is suggested that this works, too.
      Maybe try a different browser.
It works for most people as otherwise I am sure a neg storm would have hit this post by now.

      • Yeh i can see it activated on the bioware site. But still asking me to purchase in Origin. Have the base game.
Havent checked on my ps3 yet.

        • Try login into Origin and then refresh the Bioware page and follow instructions. Maybe that works.

      • On my origin account, when I right click on the game and choose 'View Game Details', the "Dragon Age: Origins Promotional Pack" (which contains all these items) shows up as Free.

        • However it requires you to buy bioware points to get it for free.

          @garetz:

See below. I got mine and did not need any Bioware points.

  • Can't seem to find PC option in the linked page in the OP. Only gives me PS3 and XBOX options in the drop down list. Any ideas?

    • See above. Log into Origin, and then refresh the linked window and follow instructions. It should show.
Or try a different browser maybe?

      • Still can't see anything other then PS3 and XBOX. I'm doing all this through the PS4 web browser as I don't have access to PC at the moment so maybe that's the issue. Here's what I'm doing:

Logged into my Origin account via the origin website. Logged into the above linked page with the same details. Can choose which platform but only have access to the above mentioned platforms. One would think it would work seeing as I can log in and all that but I just can't see an option for PC.

      • Just logged in on the IPAD and the same deal. No option for PC.

        • Maybe try it from a PC when you have a chance.
I have no idea if it works from PS4 or Appleware

If you can't see it for a platform (PC), you may have already claimed the giveaway in the past and forgot about it, just like I did and was confused when I couldn't select it.
Go here and see if the DLC are already there: https://social.bioware.com/user_entitlements.php

Thanks mate. You were spot on. Too many games to even remember what I've got.

      • +1 From me too. That was exactly my case as well.

  • How do I link my game on origin to the bioware page? I dont have a CD code, just a digital download code on origin.

Also on the only game I own on origin which is DA Origins I can see free DLC on origin that you need to activate on Origin client and is completely outside of the bioware page. I didnt actually look to see what this promotional content is and if it is the same as the bioware giveaway.

    • Log into Origin, then refresh the Bioware page, follow instructions and then the DLC should appear shortly in your game account.

  • +3

Okay, here it how it goes:

    1. You log into the site using your Origin details
    2. You choose your platform and click to get promotional items
    3. A list with the items appears - they are no registered to your account.
    4. They will not appear in Origin unless you have base game.
    5. If you do not have the base game, they are still in your account but you cannot see them until you run the base game.

Here is what you do when you run the base game (example for Dragon Age II):

"This content has now unlocked in your game. To see the content:

    Run Dragon Age II.
Please ensure you log in with the same account you used on the social website.
Verify the content appears in the Unlockables screen by selecting Extras on the Main Menu, then Unlockables.
Start a new game or load an existing one.
The items will appear in a chest in your house. Follow the instructions in the game journal."

    Hope that helps everybody.

  • Something fishy

  • Mmmm I have origins on both steam and origin… I wonder if this gives the items for the steam version… unlikely I know but I might install it and find out.

    • Well what do you they are available for download but I can't find them in game yet. I hope they where not in that chest with "some of your fathers things" I couldn't unlock as a warrior.

      • I guess check all available chests in your house.

I cannot check at the moment as my laptop cannot run the game.

      • Ok so you will find them in your Downloadable content inside the game IF you have logged into your BSN account while playing. You must then download and istall them from inside the game then wait approximately 20 minutes. Try exiting if they haven't appeared after 20 mins. They should then be in your characters inventory so make sure you have space :)

        • One negative to playing it on steam: You can't use Origin points to buy DLC as far as I can see even while logged on to the website. If you have alot of origin points might be best off playing it on origin.

        • Thanks for the information. I am sure it will help others.

  • I logged in using my origin account and claimed the DLC, but when I log into Origin it's still not unlocked. Says I have to buy them using Bioware points.

Does the game need to be instaleld first?

    • See my pot above please.
