Unless I'm blind, the 6600K isn't in the title of that deal, so this isn't a dupe.

      • Although it's in the description with the coupon discounted price and with a url link to it. I think that could qualify as a dupe?.

        • Couldn't fit it into title. It was originally a non-K only post, but added for consolidation.

        • +1

Whilst that's completely true, if it's not mentioned in the title it's not a dupe according to the rules. That's why we get so many deals on the same 'deal' like we use to with all the DSE 'one day special codes' that would flood the site.

I think the titles need to allow more characters in them to avoid things like this, but those are the rules.

Not sure if ozbargain or Kogan cpu

  • Ah I missed the first rounds so this is awesome. Thank you!

Do we really need so many posts for the same brand CPUs, from the same seller, with the same coupon?

    • +3

Not to mention that it's all in a previously created thread with the link to it as provided above by Expon. Yes this i5 6600K deal is listed in the description of that thread with the same url link to it. So basically this deal has already been previously provided.

    • The previous deals marked as expired. The prices are very sharp. Choose to ignore them.

  • +2

This deal is unnecessary as of now. The guy who published the previous deal has amended his post.

What's up with all the cpu posts?

    • +3

these are kind of unheard of CPU prices, I can't imagine there is any profit margin in these prices, the skylake architecture is also relatively new making the deal even more attractive

      • Ok thanks.

    • +4

It's because Intel CPUs' price is quite steady over it's lifespan, rarely seen big drop in price, couples with eBay 20% off and Kogan is the price leader at the moment. Hence, this is a rare opportunity to buy one.

The reason for so many CPU posts is because the first poster only list 1 variant of the whole series of CPUs, not a cover all deal. By OzBargain rules, anyone can post another deal as long as that CPU variant is not already listed on the title. This is done till all CPU variants is listed.

      Deepcool Maelstrom 240

It's the cheapest 240mm radiator liquid cooler in Australia. Picked up one for $99

    • I'd take a look at the Cryorig H5 or H7.

Around $55-70, however limited suppliers in AU.

Otherwise theres the Cooler Master Hyper 212 X ~ $50

      • I would pick the H5 over the 212x anyday purely out of aesthetics. Performance is around the same

    • if your case is big enough, Noctua NH-D15 CPU @ $119

IMHO one of the best air coolers around

Awesome proc and about $100 cheaper than buying from anywhere in Australia. Should be able to overclock to to north of 4.5 GHz pretty easily.

  • Out of stock :(

In stock as of 9:45 AEDST
