  • I recommend Presidential Card for people who wishes to purchase supermarket vouchers at 5% off.

I now have access to Eco-Gold card for free via my electricity company but if I didn't, I'll jump on this offer.

It must be said that it takes minimum a couple of weeks for the vouchers to arrive from Presidential Card though.

I was a member of Presidential card for a year and only used it for the 5% off supermarket cards. I would order $1000 worth of cards per month, the free postage was a bonus.
However, I got increasingly frustrated with the ridiculous delivery times. 4-6 weeks was not uncommon. The least I waited was 3 weeks for an order.
In the end I gave up on them and did not renew my membership. They charge your credit card immediately when you place your order, and then you wait 4-6 weeks for the cards. 5% off was not worth the stress and the increased risk of losing the cards.

      • Yeah that was pretty much my experience, although I don't think it was ever 6 weeks.

I think Presidential Card has to do something about the slowness in delivery.

    • I got the eco card via electricity too. can't wait to order some. what's the postage cost?

  • I prefer the Ambassador Card which come free with ACS membership…

    http://www.ambassadorcard.com.au/

    • Thats $199 for those without ACS membership!

This looks like a good deal, would like to see a list of all the offers however.

      • You can view all the offers on the link above…

    • I did not get such card from ACS, is it only for full professional membership?

  • I'm guessing this is like the entertainment book?

    • With the online version do we just print the vouchers?
    • Do we need to present a card?
    • Do the offers expire, and if so when?

Can't find the actual deals being offered. Would be nice to know before I pay you 50 bucks for the card.

    • I agree - looks interesting - I like the 5% off giftcards. I missed it last time it was on ozbargain. But is there a complete list of all the deals being offered. Do the giftcards come with free postage?

    • It's $15 for the card, remember to use the coupon.

  • hi rep,
how quickly do you receive the card. And is this an yearly fee

    • You recieve your membership card within a week, however your loging details are sent via email and you can login straightaway. This is an annual fee.

As others have said, i dont mind paying for postage, but i will only be renewing my membership if you reduce the lead time for gift cards. A month waiting for a product mail in australia is just ridiculous.

I bought a hifi from the states and it took 3 business days to arrive at my door.

        Truly Ridiculous.

I only realised a few days ago that Citibank credit cards come with access to BOTH Presidential Card and Shoppers Advantage: http://www.citibank.com.au/AUGCB/APPS/portal/loadPage.do?pat…

      I didn't know that, thanks a lot!

Wow, been with Citi for years, have never seen that. Wonder how they verify if you are a Citibank member.

So as I see it, a 12 month Presidential club membership gives you a Shoppers Advantage membership which is where you have to buy the gift cards from.

    • Bonus! - thanks :)

  • I was a paid member until my insurance company CGU gave me free membership.

  • Just joined. I guess for $15 its ok - most of the dining offers are only valid from Mon - Thurs as opposed to the Entertainment Book which is usually for all days (ex public holidays). Then again, the offers in the Entertainment Book are all once off…whereas with this card is reuseable?

    • Entertainment Book offers CAN be used on public holidays…

      • I don't think so. Well at least not Christmas/Valentines/Mother's days definately…

        • +1

Since when is Valentine's day and Mother's day a public holiday ???

Read the T&C's in your book, the EB can be used on nearly all public holidays…

      • was at holiday inn on the easter weekend, the restaurant did not give discount on easter holiday weekend entertainment book or other discounts

        • Holiday Inn 20% off is only available in LOW season, it says so in the book…

It can be used during all public holidays as long as they are in LOW season…

  • You can save a little bit if you buy $1000s worth of Coles/Woolworths vouchers, but as mentioned above, delivery time is 3-4 weeks and since recently they also charge for delivery.

You can risk and just have it mailed normally for 50c, while if you order it via registered mail for a couple of bux, you might have to go and pick it up at the post office, so bit of a hassle there again.

    • I don't have a major issue with them imposing a new $3 fee for registered post. My major issue with them is their 5-6 delivery time and the never-ending excuses as to why they are in short supply of cards .. every month.
I informed them that I would order exactly $1000 worth of cards every month, on the same date. You'd think they could have the cards in stock ready to dispatch. But it was too hard for them. So I gave up after the year ended. The headaches and the time wasted calling/emailing them was not worth it.

  • Thanks for notifying about the citibank presidential card scheme. Recently i booked a hotel via the departure lounge and saved about $180 at mantra hotels. This was after i found the login password somewhere. I was worried they might ask me for my presidential card. Now i am happy i qualify through my citibank credit card. woohoo.

  • I buy discounted Wish Gift Cards through realValue by Ticketmaster. It takes about 3 weeks for the gift cards to arrive.
    http://www.ticketmaster.com.au/realvalue

    • i was looking at getting a real value card. do they dock your credit card straightaway and then take 3 weeks to send the giftcards out?

  • Yes, payment is immediate. I just placed an order over the phone this morning for 2 Wish cards. I was told it will take 4 weeks for them to arrive.

Also, Amex not accepted, just Visa or Mastercard.

    • Our turnaround for delivery of gifts cards is 10 to 15 working days. Payment is taken at the time of placing your order and you have the option of recieving the cards either via standard mail 55 cents or registered post of $3.oo per order.

Payment can be made with Visa,MasterCard and Diners.

      • 15 working days is just not good enough. That's a wait of 3 or 4 weeks.

I can get something off eBay from Uzbekistan and the delivery will still be quicker.

Not to mention that if I order a $500 gift card, I'll have to pay the $500 upfront and get the gift card three or four weeks later. Just imagine that interest they are getting.
