    • Same situation at Prospect store, NSW

    • I ordered mine at 2:44 pm from eBay store and I just got shipping confirmation email from TGG just now. I'm in VIC too.

  • These may or may not make good presents. I just got a call from TGG's saying the boxes these come in are damaged, so I was asked if I still wanted to go ahead. Yep, I said.

Shattered I missed this! my shaver crapped itself today and started browsing online for a new one!

  • DAMMMM literally last night I realized I needed a new beard trimmer and I miss this.

This was a catalogue special and is sold out the day after the sale started. I would love to know if each store only had a handful.

I ordered on Ebay and they rang me this arvo saying they were out of stock. They asked if I wanted to cancel the order or keep the order and wait till they get more in. I opted for the latter. So if you order on Ebay you may still be in with a shot!

Apparently more stock arriving at the end of the week, sale ends 11/04

  • went to the store this arvo and staff told me it was price error and refuse to honour the price at Hoppers Crossing VIC

    • A staff member at HN when I tried to price match rang the Remington rep and was told there will be a retraction or something tomorrow from GG. meh

I hope everyone who snagged them gets the price honoured.

    • Funny - I picked mine up this afternoon from Marion - given that these stores are franchises, I'd be tempted to drop a line to head office querying that….

      • lucky you. I have called several stores in VIC and they all refuse to honour the price/had no stock.

        • Not the best - but their not matching an on-line short-time offer is one thing, to push the BS that "there will be a retraction" might be another thing altogether.

  • Hi, everyone, just got a call from TGG, my ebay order has been cancelled. Hopefully you guys have good luck

  • These are crap and at under $20 the pricing is appropriate. The various grooming attachments are total rubbish and you won't use them more than once or twice. The hair clipper part is OK (not great, but not utter rubbish either), but the charging circuitry and batteries are a disaster.

Don't expect this device to hold the charge for even a quick beard trim a few months down the track. The only way to use it is to have the plug pack connected to the wall socket. The batteries are not user replaceable, so you're screwed.

If you already got suckered into buying this gadget, my advice is to use it regularly for the first 3 months or so and if your run-time drops to less than 75% of when it was new, take it back for a refund.

    • The instructions do state you must give an initial charge of 16 hours, rather than the normal 4 hour charge, and run the unit down and do a 16 hour charge every three months or so. I can imagine failure to do that would lead to the symptoms you describe.

I followed the instructions and performed the standard charging procedure as well as regular deep-cycle discharge and charge. The problem is that the charging circuitry is cheap and nasty and the device uses really low quality batteries.

I happen to know a reasonable amount about battery technology and proper charging and I've also gone into the trouble of disassembling the unit. The poor battery performance is purely a design issue.

I got HN to price match this :) Thanks for posting the deal.

  • Can someone please post a receipt? I want to try and price match this.

    • That is a different model PG6020AU don't think it has li-on battery like the one posted in this deal PG525A

  • Still stock left at Hoppers crossing store

    • No need to bother they won't honour the price. see my previous comment

  • There was a notice in my local GG saying it was a price error and the correct price was 47.95

  • Score!!! Mine is on its way :D

Got a phone call last Friday from TGG Brighton asking whether I would like to proceed with my ebay order since they have run out of the stocks, and I said I would like to proceed with it. Got a notification an hour ago from sms/ebay/email to say that the order is now ready for pickup!
