909 Brand 20V Lithium-Ion Cordless Line Trimmer & Cordless Hedge Trimmer $20 @ Masters Box Hill VIC

70

Masters in Box Hill are currently selling 909 branded 20v line trimmers and hedge trimmers for $20. No idea on the quality of them, but it seems like at one stage Kogan sold them but apart from that, can't find much information on them but Masters has a couple of reviews on the trimmer

    Awesome review…

"After several attempts I finally lost it and smashed the whole unit to pieces against a large rock and deposited the remnants in the garbage bin. It was quite therapeutic and relieved weeks of built up tension from using this cheap piece of rubbish.
Do not buy under any circumstance ……be warned!
    Pros:none
    Cons:everything"

      You forgot the

"The torque of this unit would struggle to pull the skin off a rice pudding and the battery lasts for about 10 minutes."

    • lmao

    • Got it. Buy one and six for backup.

      • That should be 7 times as therapeutic!

    • You just made my day with this comment :-)

  • Sorry, we all got the Ryobi a few months ago. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/228660

  • Anyone know if its variable speed?

    • +4

Yep, definitely. It automatically reduces it's speed when touched on plant material.

  • For that price it would be worth it just for the 18650s.

    • naah, sounds like they're the average quality recycled laptop cells

      • powertool cells have much lower internal resistance, ie higher power/current.

        • quailty powertool cells have much lower internal resistance, ie higher power/current.

          ftfy

  • I have the 20V hedger. Never had a problem. I dunno if 20V is enough for a line trimmer.
