Held annually in September oganised by the Rotary Club of Parkwood, the event was first run in 2010 and each year raises money for charities.

The feature event is the 100 km event – there is no doubt this is not for the faint hearted but it is this challenge that spurs riders on – the need to challenge the beast!! For the not so confident riders a flat 50 km ride along the beautiful Gold Coast coastline to Robina and back.

For the 100km event: Standard entry is $75, early-bird is $50.
For the 50km event: Standard entry is $60, early bird is $40.
Note: website doesn't make it clear when early-bird entry closes - just 'soon'…

Deal - For today only (an 'April Fools Day special'), entry is $40 for both the 100km and 50km event. Great price for a supported 'gran fondo' event of that distance. A few friends have done this event in the past, and have said that it's very well run and a great course (the full route details are on the website).

  $40 is cheap for one of these type of events. I live in Victoria and have done a few of these types of rides down here (Gran Fondo is actually 100 miles so technically longer than 100 Km). Gold Coast would probably be a nice ride as well but I'll hang out for local options like Around the Bay etc.

  On the Booking Page it lists Early Bird registration is available from 4 March to 4 May inclusive

  Ticket prices:

  Single entry 100km - $75.00 [Early bird $50.00]
  Team entry 100km (minimum 4 riders) - $70.00 per person [Early Bird $45.00 per person]
  Single entry 50km - $60.00 [Early Bird $40.00]

  As early bird prices are currently available, saving is $10 on 100km solo & $5 per person on Team 100km. No discount on 50km entry
