Picked one up at JB Hi-Fi on South Rd in Adelaide. They did not have any on the shelves/advertised in store so someone had to dig one out of a cupboard for me.

Not the cheapest deal JB have had on them, but better than I can find elsewhere online at the moment.

The deal is for the Cyclo 505 with speed and cadence sensor via redemption offer on the Magellan website (when I registered for this it said it can take up to 45 days after your submission has been reviewed). Does not come with a HR strap, this can be had for around $50 for the Ant+ or $75 for the Bluetooth unit.

  Redemption was quite quick with the Dick Smith HR Strap offer.

    Yes I got the 500 with the strap for $79.98 from Dick Smith, strap arrived in a couple of days.

  I got the 505 at the last promo …. JB price matched HN last year (2015) so it was $172 but $219 is currently the best price in 2016….. great unit and has a glass (not plastic) touch screen. Uses a fair bit of power due to size and colour screen but always has more power then you need for a ride.

  Much cheaper than the Garmin equivalent,

  the 505 also does bluetooth, so getting the cadence / speed is better value than HR, lots of cheap Bluetooth HR straps around.

  picked one up last week.

  The unit works well. I think I've got a bit of a learning curve with using some of the features though.

  One thing to note, it's a pain to get it registered and setup for wifi syncing. Took me a good hour, and you NEED a computer to do so.

  Also to note the app only syncs the phone so the unit recieves calls/texts. There is no app equivelent to Garmin Connect. But onces you have the wifi sync correctly setup it can then be sync'd from Magellan Cyclo website to Strava (which you can have an app for).

  Overall I'm happy with the unit though.
