Damn it, just after I got this for $16.59 USD yesterday. I'll live though. ^_^

  • Thanks! Just got one

I really need to stop buying those small powerbanks as i already have more than 5 laying around. But yeah maybe one more just in case my theory of running out of power comes up!

    • This indeed was my next question? How many is too many? I have three Xiaomi's, one sony and a Romas. I do not have the Xiaomi in a 10K (only 10.4k) config though.

      • +5

I have the xiaomi 10k and the 10.4k and 16k and but i would say i actually prefer using the 10k as its small and easy to fit anywhere compare to the 10.4k for your daily use. I have the 10.4 setting in the car in case i run out of power and i need to go out of the car. The best power bank i have ever use is the Anker 25k but this is very big and heavy power bank and expensive and i only use it while on short travelling overseas as i hate carrying charger then having to buy adapters. The performance of the 10k and 10.4k is extremely similar and barely you can notice any different between them but the size is noticeable. At this price i would couple of these and wait for any upcoming birthday and give them away.

        • thanks heaps for your review - couple quick q's - do you really find the 10k that noticeably smaller than 10.4k? Also, other than size and 0.4k mah, is there any other difference between these 2 units? I ask because I currently have the 10.4k and am wondering if I should get the 10k instead.

        • @ccrap: I actually don't own a powerbank yet (I know right!?). Once charged, how long does this one stay charged? And (roughly) how long does it take to charge your phone?

        • +1

@ccrap: In terms of weight im not really sure? But in terms of width its very noticeable as the 10k only use 3 batteries while the 10.4 use 4 batteries.

        • @hoondaboy: If you store them in cool and dry place i would say they will last very long but it may decrease their battery life. The power bank will charge your phone most likely as fast as any normal USB wall charger(no fast charging here!). I have one of these at the car fully charged for over 6 months and i didnt use yet, i will have to double check it and let you know but im sure they will last very long unless you get a defective unit :)

        • @Bnjam3:

I got the 10400mah awhile ago and then managed to get 2 1000s in a previous banggood deal shipping was slow but the 10000 is alot smaller and lighter a def improvement on the previous model now Just to give the old one away or keep it lol

        • @Bnjam3:

          10,400 is 250g
          10,000 is 207g

      Xiaomi-loops?

    • +2

Xiaomi power bank + Xiaomi usb light is perfect for power outages.

  • Are there any decent powerbanks out on the market that I could use on my Surface Pro (and be able to take on a plane)?

    • +1

I've taken my Xiaomi's through carry on luggage in 11 countries in Europe, Asia and the Gulf so far without problems - are their any types of powerbanks that are restricted or countries that restrict them?

EDIT: Hmm USA might have some issues…

      • As long as they are covered in a case and not stored in the checked in bag you will be fine :) I travel alot with 3-4 powerbanks in my backpack with total capacity of 30-40k + laptop and never had any issue :)

      • The Chinese custom will confiscate powerbanks in carry on luggage that do not have proper specification sticker / quality logo or beyond a threshold value (forgot what specification it was).

We had 4 unbranded powerbanks confiscated in China airports: 3 @ 2200mAh at Beijing airport (one was a door gift, other 2 ordered from online Chinese retailer) and 1 @ 33000mAh at Shenyang airport (that was checked and passed through Beijing airport!).
No problem with 2 other powerbanks with proper specifications/logo printed.

        • The irony of some china made products that leave china that aren't properly certified by any standard lol

I have heard thai air is very strict on powerbanks and they have a limited capacity allowed. But most other airlines is fine. Can you charge Surface pro via usb port? If yes then any power bank should be fine, if no then good luck finding cheap one to charge your Surface.

  • Thanks bought one :)

  • With or without tracking? What's the preferred method?

    • +3

Pay with paypal and choice the cheapest one and you should be fine. Banggood shipping is very slow and would take up to 1month so be prepared to wait.

    • +1

      The tracking is fantastic

always "processing" or "at custom processing" then updated to shipped 1 day after I got it.

  • how do we use this with nexus 5x?

  • +1

Already own one, buying another. Usually get 3 full iphone 6s charge cycles from a full pack
    ty

  • Thanks Op, just got myself a second. Was so tempted to buy 2 but I think I'll not be greedy :)

  • Ordered the other day at $14.93US but just ordered another, Thanks OP :)

  • Thanks just ordered one.

  • I finally own one of these. Now just to wait for QC2.0 versions to drop in price.

  • Any valid codes to get for less?

  • Have you guys just ordered with no tracking and no insurance out if interest

    • +2

From my many experiences with banggood those two items are not necessary. If they don't arrive then PayPal dispute. If they are DOA then PayPal dispute.

  • +1

Have they been cheaper even with codes as not really in a rush to buy

  • Where is the Pro version where you can do QC/Fast charge on phones?

  • +1

Will this powerbank get me the chicks so that I can bang good?

  • I've seen on here that purchasing these through Mushtato is highly regarded.
Is banggood still good to purchase from or should I wait for Mushtato to have their next sale?
    TIA

  • got one

  • My silver battery pack arrive quickly but does not work. I charged it up, but when I push the on button & plug a phone in it does nothing (aside from flashing led's). It also makes a buzzing sound in the battery.

    Am I missing something obvious?

  • Mine hasn't arrived yet.

  • Received today in Adelaide (3 weeks and a bit), happy with that.

  • available again for $1 more
