    Signed up. Submitted. Next page asked to sign up for Identity Secure (with CC details). But the previous form said you don't have to fill those details up. Closed the page.

    Waiting for code. Once I get the code, positive from me.

    that Identity Secure is another software which only available to US residents. In the facebook page you can read those information. They are giving away 2 different softwares this time, and you can choose the Firewall only. I didnt bother to get the 2nd software as I dont want to give out my CC details either so dont worry. Hope we will get the code :)

        I have just 3 days ago installed the newest upgrade to an existing and licensed install of Zone Alarm and had to get rid of it because it just took over the system and didn't let me do any real work anymore. Now I'm back to AVG and everything is running smoothly again. I'm running XP.

        Yup, I've been using ZA since 2001, and it used to be good, but later versions are quite CPU intensive for no apparent reason. There was no version for win7 either when I changed over, so I ditched ZA at that point too.

    Recieved my code. Just need to ignore the part about identity sheid. That's us based credit file protection. Just close at that point.

    Okay. So after using full name and email address, you press the submit button. Then automatically you're taken to the Identity Shield registration. I just close the window at that point.

    Am I doing something wrong? Still haven't gotten a code.

    Zonealarm is great but I want to make you aware that it has compatibility issues with windows Vista. If you have Vista and is having problems after installing zonealarm, I recommend that you use an alternative firewall instead.

    Just get the excellent Microsoft Security Essentials instead - free and unlimited and actually surprisingly light on resources.

    Zone alarm is to 'noisy' in my opinion and has some compatibility issues with win7 and Vista.

      Microsoft Security Essentials is a good antivirus/spyware tool - but it's not a firewall.

    I'm worried about the possible "upgrade" costs that may appear as you start to use the various features that might be embedded into it.

    I think ZoneAlarm is pretty good. I've been using Comodo for 3 years and I love how secure Comodo is but it's completely locking up my 64bit PC without any explanation. I had to hard reset a lot of times and I gave up. Once uninstalled the problem went away. Apparently a lot of people have the same problem.

    ZoneAlarm is noisy like Comodo is. But that's during the learning period. Once you allow or deny the programs you commonly use, ZoneAlarm or Comodo don't bother you. I prefer being alerted when any application is trying to communicate with the Internet and being asked for my permission. I tried Kaspersky Internet Security and that program allows everything willy nilly. It's an awesome looking app, and the antivirus is the best out there, but I dont feel safe.
