50% off Xero for 4 Months (Starter: $12.50/Month, Standard: $25/Month, Premium 10: $30/Month)

50
XRAPR50D

Got this in an email after trialling Xero to manage my Uber finances.

Not sure if it's targeted but it seems to be a generic code.

I've been finding Xero helpful and the smallest plan is $25 a month. This means that this deal works out to be $50 off over a year for me.

Hope this helps someone.

      Yep, like a spreadsheet…

      • Very true. Others may be more disciplined and stick to that. I like the way this organises everything. Might not be for everyone but it's certainly raised my awareness on some issues.

        • What kind of issues?

        • @jv: that I'm lazy as hell and I won't do it unless it's made really easy for me. So the savings are really endless..

          laziness isn't a saving…

        • @jv: sure it is. Saves me cleaning, saves me washing, saves me getting up…

Wow you use Xero for Uber?

Don't waste your money on a software, when your needs can easily be done through cheaper means.

    • I've just started using it and I'm finding it really helpful. Also I have other bits and pieces that I do on the side of Uber so it helps me track expenses.

New kind of Uber shill? i like it how you have to mention its for uber.

  • I think all the negative posts here have never worked with accounting software or tried xero in their life - sure you can use a spreadsheet to type any number down, but it isn't going to be as interactive and intuitive to generate the reports, information, and data you need to report as an uber driver.

For the cost per month of smoother operations i.e. for the OP's uber driving, it far outweights the time and headache dealing with a spreadsheet.

    • That's exactly how I feel

I use an A4 sheet of Xerox for my Über management. At audit time it fits neatly into the round filing cabinet.

  • Can existing users use this code? And if so, where do you apply it?

    • Have a feeling this may be new users only. I just signed up so I think they have sent this to me to get me to start paying. Once I'm hooked there's no way I'm changing systems.

Xero user for almost 6 years. Yes it gets more and more expensive when you have a few employees and need all the payroll and superannuation features. However in the big scheme of things, no way I am going back to spreadsheets just to save a few $$.

We've been using Wave Accounting for 3 years now - the free option is good enough for our business (though I should mention that we don't do payroll through Wave). You can get automatic feeds from your Australian bank account - suitable for "light" users.

    • Thanks for this. I don't have any employees at the moment so this might suit me fine. I'll give it a look
