Sunbeam Resilium Iron $49 (Was $129) @ Target

160

After almost burning down my house, I decided I had to buy a new clothes iron.

This one was listed as $99 in-store (Bourke St Target, Melbourne), but the website had it for $49. I checked with staff, and it scanned correctly at $49. Great discount from $129.

So far, I'm very happy with it. It's also one of the only irons that isn't pink or purple, for the self-conscious blokes out there.

I suspect OP might be burning the house down again.

      • Hahah, well, anything must be better than my previous iron. It was a crusty old thing that would go through an entire chamber of water after ironing perhaps 1-2 shirts.

I mainly need an iron that can save me from myself. I once went to iron a shirt in the morning to find that the iron was already hot - I had left the iron on for 24 hours…

This one has a light to show when it's switched on, beeps after leaving it on for a while, and eventually switches off automatically. Much better.

Bit concerned about the safety issues now, though…

  • Worried about the safety issues raised on product review.
Edit - included review about different iron.

  • The base on this scratches really easily. I returned 2 and went for a different brand

  • 60 day money back. But return postage will be almost half the price of iron

  • Plenty of stock at Buranda, QLD

  • I bought a Tefal from HN with auto-off OP which might be handy for you too
