    • +1

Looks like it's for bank issued cards only.

      • Ta, that's annoying, but you might be right - shows up when I log in with my account that has a CBA Amex, but not when I use the account with my Amex issued Amex.

        • Looks like the offers just came to the Amex issued Amex accounts. Check in your account again.

        • @forumninja: Yep - got it for my Velocity Platinum card now :)

      • both my bank issued card and amex issued card have got this offer

  • Woot. Buying a new i5 cpu after missing out on kogan 20%

    • looks like they bumped the prices sky high! a 6700K was $403 the other week now its $510 boooo

      • I'm looking at the 6600. Was cheapest I could find even after factoring in shipping and before the $30 discount.

        • I lied, the price seems to have gone up. Hardly a bargain now -_-

  • Any idea whether this can be used with their mobile plans?

  • I can't seem to register. It prompts me for name, postcode and email address but returns the error "The system is not responding at this time. Please come back later for registration." https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/77509/38814/243985.png. Am I doing something wrong?

    • Nevermind, I signed up after which the registration seems to work.

    • Hi forumninja, where do you get the manual links from? Would be good for other OzBargain users to know in case you get hit by a bus or go on holidays or something….

  • can i use this on kogan mobile?

    • I would say yes, as the Kogan Mobile offer is on the front page of the Kogan link from this deal, and there is nothing in T&C's that says it's excluded.

  • Ok so I spent on an eligible purchase but didn't get a credit yet.

Looked on the statement and it's come up as DICK SMITH?!

I wonder if this has anything to do with it not being credited?

    • Same here. I messaged them and explained the situation and they manually credited me the $30.

      • Did you ring or email?

I've been in email contact and still not sorted…

        • Logged into the amex site I clicked "email us" on the left and I chose "membership rewards" "promotions and offers" as the subject. The text of my query was as follows if you want to use similar:

"Hi. I took advantage of the Kogan member offer by spending more than $150 in one or more transactions so I could receive a $30 statement credit. However, the two purchases are showing on my statement as DICK SMITH ONLINE SOUTH MELBOURNE. I followed the terms of the offer precisely, so I'm guessing this is because Kogan bought Dick Smith recently. I'm worried that I won't receive my $30 credit because it's saying Dick Smith on the statement instead of Kogan. Can you please clarify?"

  • Has anyone tried purchasing a Kogan gift voucher? I believe they can be purchased direct from their customer support but they have no page where they sell gift vouchers.

    • The terms of the offer state that "transactions where you buy a gift card, store credit or a voucher" are not eligible

      • These types of AMEX offers all say that and I can't recall many where buying gift vouchers doesn't result in getting cashback. I only recall people saying online purchases may not result in cashback as AMEX has more visibility over online transactions as opposed to offline ones but I'm not sure.

I'm just seeing if anyone has tried it already.
