Was looking for some basic 2.1 speakers and saw this deal - purchased at Office Works for $27.55 after showing them print out of Good Guys webpage with special.

Normal price…and the sound quality is pretty average to be honest…
I have these speakers. Bought for $20 few years back. Sound is pretty ordinary.
I went into the shop intending to buy these.
did a sound test.
the sound quality was disappointing.so I walked out.
will wait for the z623 instead.
If you want basic, you've come to the right place.
I got these speakers on special from JB Hifi for $18, after a few Months use the sound was cutting off randomly or getting staticy sound and fiddling with the cable will bring the sound back. So from my experience, they are pretty poor build quality although when they work I was pretty happy with the sound quality and bass.
Can anyone recommend a good lower priced set of speakers which have better sound than these ones? I'm looking for a set for my computer to listen to music while I do my work.
For under $50, I'd probably suggest the Creative Inspire T10 speakers. They are 2.0 speakers.
These been as low as $19 or so. Thing is I have a set of the Logitech 300 series… 323/325 something which is allegedly $75 or so.
They are pretty damn ordinary so I shudder to think what these sound like.
